I want to prepare for GATE EXM

Rahul Student Expert 25th Jan, 2020
Hello aspirant,

If you willing to prepare for GATE which is a national level exam for B.tech graduates to go study in prestigious institutes and complete their post graduation.
Regarding when should you start your preparation- 2-2(Second year 2nd sem) is the ideal time to start your prep. But, most of the students start in 3-1(Third year 1st sem). So, its up yo you when do you want to start your preparation.

You can can choose either online or offline classes for your prep. But, i would suggest you to choose offline coaching classes because you clear your doubts on the spot.

At the end take a online sample papers package and practise atleast 60 question papers before your main exam.

Yashasvi Vij 5th Mar, 2020

Hello Vijay,

There is no other way to get admission in the MTech+doctoral programme in any of the IITs without a good score in GATE exam, although there are some sponsored seats but those who have worked in the company sponsoring those seats, for atleast 2 years with a study leave from the company, can avail those seats without giving any exam.

You can try in some IIITs and central, state or private universities, that conduct their own enterance exam for the program you're interested in.
