see the 7 points is a really less score to be selected for gate exam let along psus,

see psus cutoff score depends on the number of vacancy , the number of participants are in the exam, vacancy in the that particular area. now 60% marks is in the basic eligibility criteria, also the selected process depends on the gd or pi round, your interview sessions etc.

Admissions highly depends upon the Categories of the individual. Based on the previous years record, you can get Structural Engineering from IIT Bombay and IIT Kanpur with any category. While for the rest the institutions, admission will depend upon the Category.

IIT's are the best to do M.Tech in India and therefore if we consider previous years GATE cutoff for chemical engineering, you may get old IIT's for your Mtech.

The toppers of GATE of any stream is mostly above 95%

When we look at the previous results of GATE Mechanical Engineering, the topper of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 was 94.66, 94.85%, 96.83%, 94.75% respectively.

The PSUs recruit the top 10% students only. So, if you want to be hired by any of the PSU and get a rank between 500 to 1000, then you will need to score a percentage in the range of about 88% to 95%, i.e., 88 to 95 marks out of 100.

Getting the structural engineering branch completely depends on the cutoff that is released by the colleges for 2020.If we consider the  cutoffs for the past few years, chances of getting your desired branch in IIT's or NIT's are quite high and you can get it. The authorities will determine the cutoff for IIT Kharagpur after considering various factors such as total number of seats, difficulty level of the Gate exam, total number of registrations and other important things. Candidates who will score equal to or higher than the cutoff marks will be eligible for admissions in M.Tech courses at IIT Kharagpur. Students with higher marks will have a higher chance of admissions through GATE.

see  candidates who have passed or in final year of engineering or after passing graduation in science stream in the final year of masters course may apply for gate exam, gate score is necessary for you if you want to do phd or need to work as a research fellow position, b.sc in zoology course is 3 years duration and if you join for msc then in the final year of msc courses you may appear in gate exam on your relevant discipline.

gate exam has papers for engineering students o r pas outs and as well as msc pass or final year student, as you have done only b.sc which is a course of 3 years you are not eligible to apply. see gate score is necessary for you if you want to do phd or want to do mtech courses.
