the eligibility criteria for gate exam is you need to pass 4 years engineering degree in any stream or in final year after completing 10+2 or  3 years b.sc or 3 years diploma courses from a recognized board of education. for appearing in gate exam there is no age limit.

if your diploma course certificate is for 2 years you are not eligible to apply.

CSE:

AE:

You know what is the level of GATE which is the national level entrance exam.  I would recommend you to go through the syllabus and prepare accordingly looking into the weight age of the chapters. Rest you can solve previous year question papers of your stream because that really helps to gain marks and also you can solve as many as MCQs because that it helps us to strong our concepts .
