if I will change my college and university both in second year of my BTech engineering will I be eligible for PSU and GATE exam or any other competitive exam??

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 12th Nov, 2019

hi,

see most of the colleges dont allow middle of admission in any curriculum courses. also you need to think about before transfer to any college that if the second college is also affiliated by same university or not. some times transfer can be done between same group of colleges according to semester marks. so please think before transfer to any other college and discuss this with the respective college authority.

for gate exam eligibility criteria is you need to have passed the eligibility exam or in the final year of your degree course.

I switched my college and university both in second year of my BTech civil engineering will it affect my gate exam or interview or psu recruitment or any other competition exam??

Aditya Sharma Student Expert 12th Nov, 2019

Hey aspirant.

See the switching of ur stream won't be affecting u in written exams and u will get the marks according to ur skills and knowledge but in the interview round u might be facing some problems as the panel would be asking some genuine reason for ur switching. If u failed to prove that u might get negative  points  but if u managed then it is well and good. For the placements scenario , yes it would affect because every company wants the fresher and if u clashed with some fresher in points then he/she would be given preference.

Hope u got ur point.

What is the percentage off getting in psus with Bachelors below 60% and gate 2019 with 630 score(St catagorie) in electronics after one year?

Apoorva Student Expert 5th Oct, 2019

Hello dear student,

The PSU's only consider the GATE score of current year . So for PSU's GATE score is valid for only one year and If you are looking for higher education then the score is valid for three years. It is the rare to rarest event that any PSU would recruit on the basis of previous years GATE score. SO it is mandatory to attempt current year GATE to get eligible for the recruitment process in any PSU. I hope this was helpful.

Best Wishes!
