I qualified gate 2025 cs and it , and my gate score was 334 is there any chance of getting university in telangana pgecet

Mitali Sharma 16th Jul, 2025

Hello

Yes, with a GATE 2025 score of 334 in CS/IT , you can get admission in Telangana through PGECET counselling. GATE qualified candidates get first preference , so you have a decent chance , specially in less competitive colleges or if you have category reservation.

Just register for counselling and fill choices wisely.

GATE qualified candidates are given first preference over PGECET rankers during seat allotment  .

TS PGECET counselling is open to GATE qualifiers from 2023–25  .

can i get du with 295/750 bsc life sci. or bsc hons. with obc category

shobhitchaudhary3934 15th Jul, 2025

Hi

As per the previous year's cutoff trend, with a score of 295/750 in the OBC category.
You have a moderate chance of getting a B.Sc. in Life Sciences at top DU colleges.
But there are chances that you will get a Tier 3 college
For other B.Sc. courses like physics, chemistry, zoology, and botany, the cutoff usually goes high. So, make your preference sheet according to it.

Thank you.
Regards,

Without gate score can I get admission in government pg programs

Afreen 30th Jun, 2025

Yes, it is possible to get admitted to some government postgraduate (PG) programs, including M.Tech, without a GATE score. While GATE is a common and often preferred route for admission to many government institutions, especially IITs and NITs, several alternatives exist.

Here's how you can pursue PG programs without GATE:

Sponsored Seats:

Many IITs and NITs offer sponsored seats in their M.Tech programs. These seats are often available to candidates with relevant work experience (usually at least two years) in a related field.

Quality Improvement Programme (QIP):

This program allows individuals already working in academic institutions to pursue M.Tech degrees at IITs and other institutions without a GATE score.

Entrance Exams Conducted by Specific Institutions:

Some institutions, including IITs and NITs, may conduct their own entrance exams or interviews for specific M.Tech programs, especially for those not seeking GATE-based admission.

State-Level Entrance Exams:

Some state governments conduct their own entrance exams for postgraduate programs in state-funded universities and colleges.

Merit-Based Admission:

Some institutions may offer admission based on academic merit, considering your undergraduate performance and other relevant factors.

Private Institutions:

Private universities and colleges often offer M.Tech programs without mandatory GATE scores, relying on their own entrance exams, interviews, or merit-based admissions.

Study Abroad:

Consider pursuing an MS degree abroad, as many international universities have their own admission criteria, which may not include GATE.

Important Considerations:

Eligibility Criteria: Ensure you meet the specific eligibility criteria of the institution and program you are interested in, as these may vary.

Application Deadlines: Be aware of the application deadlines for each institution and program.

Alternative Exams: If you are considering an institution that conducts its own entrance exam, familiarize yourself with the exam pattern and syllabus.

What do u mean by g1 g2 in the nit surthakal gate cutoff list

Sonakshi Kumari 21st Jun, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

In the NIT Surathkal GATE cutoff list, G1 and G2 refer to seat categories for admission through CCMT counselling.

G1: General pool of seats—includes all primary category seats like General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, PwD.

G2: Additional or supernumerary seats—may include seats reserved for specific categories (e.g., industry-sponsored, foreign nationals, or special quotas) depending on the institute’s policy.

For most candidates applying through GATE via CCMT, G1 is the main seat category you should focus on.

All the best for your M.Tech admission process.

Which college to choose VSSUT Burla or OUTR(CET) Bhubaneswar..I m not getting CS/IT.So tell me only for core branches like which is best. And which would give me better future scope as I have a thought to prepare for GATE in the future. Plz someone help

Prachi Kumari 2nd Aug, 2025

Hello,

For core branches (like Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.), VSSUT Burla is a better choice than OUTR (CET) Bhubaneswar.

Here’s why:

  • Strong core departments : VSSUT has a long history and strong reputation in core engineering.

  • Better GATE environment : Many students from VSSUT prepare for GATE, so you will get a good peer group and study environment.

  • Good faculty and alumni : Especially in core branches, VSSUT has better faculty support and alumni network in PSU and higher studies.

So, if your focus is on core branches and GATE preparation, VSSUT Burla is the better option.

Hope it helps !
