I am a student of galgotias university and my gre score is 310 and having 8+ cgpa in mechanical engineering. I done two intenships one from DRDO and other one from Indian railway. Also i had done two research paper. What are my chances of getting technical university of Munich or Berlin.?

dheeraj reddy 14th Feb, 2020

Hi sajal

As far as CGPA is considered, you meet the minimum requirement stated by both the TUs. Also as you know, for selection, your overall profiles matters. I see you have mentioned 2 research papers. They would add a great value to your application if they are relevant to the Masters you are applying.

GRE is not mandatory for TU Berlin and most of the programs in TUM too.

You would need an IELTS score of minimum 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 88 for clearing language requirements.

You would need German language proficiency of atleast C1 level ( only if you are applying for a course with German taught modules). Also even for english taught programs, having a basic German proficiency of A2 level would greatly help in your application.

For TUM, they might conduct a further aptitude assessment depending on the strength of your application.

Your internships would add value only if they are relevant to your field of study (the Masters you are applying).

Apart from the above mentioned, Your Statement of Purpose (SOP) / Letter of Motivation and Letters of Recommendation would also have a key impact on your application. Make sure you describe well how your past experiences ( internships, research exp, any work exp) and the masters program you are going to undertake would help in your future goals.

I hope I was helpful to you. Remember again , your overall profile matters. Don't be discouraged if you fall short in any one of the aspects.

With research papers, internships, you are already ahead of several applicants. You have a good chance for any Masters degree relevant to Mechanical Engineering. Goodluck!

How can I get into the MBA courses of top business schools in USA? Should I take GRE or GMAT? TOEFL or IELTS? Which are the best coaching institutes to prepare for these exams?

chandresh iyer 26th Jun, 2024

To get into top MBA programs in the USA, you need to start by preparing a strong application package that includes a high GMAT or GRE score, with GMAT being the more traditional choice for business schools. Ensure you have a solid academic record, significant work experience (typically 2-5 years), and strong letters of recommendation. Craft a compelling personal statement that highlights your leadership skills, career goals, and reasons for pursuing an MBA. Additionally, international students must prove their English proficiency, usually through TOEFL or IELTS scores. TOEFL is more commonly accepted in the USA, but check specific school requirements. Networking with alumni, attending MBA fairs, and seeking advice from current students can also enhance your application.

What is the next date of GRE exam

Harshita Gupta 24th Dec, 2019
Hey,

Like other international standardized exams, there are no fixed official GRE dates and you can choose any date according to your convenience and availability. The exam date that you choose should be at least two months before your first application deadline. So if the deadline for your application is November, you should choose a test date for September. If you feel the need to retake the GRE exam, you can take it in October again. So you need to make a judicious decision about when you need to start preparing for GRE.

During the peak application season (generally around August to December), it may be difficult for you to get an appointment in your preferred exam center. Youd be forced to book a day and time at another center that may not be close to where you live.

Hope this helps!

what is the eligibility for gre, tofel, ielts?

sahanahegde44 16th Dec, 2020

Hello  Aspirant,

Hope your doing well!

you have not specified the course for admission but this is the basic procedure

IELTS Writing Task 2 and the GRE AWA’s Analyse-an-Issue Task are almost exactly the same. Both tasks involve writing your opinion on a social issue — something like global warming, funding for education,

It is always followed to take up IELTS for europe countries, many students prefer doing this to study overseas.

Paper-based GRE tests are available only twice a year: once in November, and once in February. The 2019-2020 tests were held on November 9th, 2019, and February 1st, 2020

Compared to the ACT and the SAT, the GRE is typically considered more difficult because, even though the math tested on the GRE is a lower level than the math tested on the SAT and ACT, the GRE has more challenging vocabulary and reading passages, and the math problems have trickier wording or require higher-level

Basically both of them will involve same procedures, same preperation, incase your travelling to any europe countries, ielts is most preffered.

Its better to start off the preparation right away as it's the best time to take up and finish everything!

there is no eligibility criteria per tests, start preparing in 3rd year and start taking up mock tests and study , ace the exam!

Thankyou, Good luck for everything ahead :)
