LPU is not AICTE Approved neither a Demmed University ? I know its UGC Approved but , Will it cause problem in Higher studies Abroad and in India (GRE/GMAT/GATE) or problems in Off Campus Placement and Company Switching ? Please Give Correct Answer !!!! A UGC approved university doesn't need AICTE approval. The Supreme Court has ruled in the famous Bharathidasan University versus AICTE case that it is not obligatory for a university, created under an Act of a competent legislature, to seek and secure prior approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to start a department for imparting a course or programme in technical education or a technical institution as an adjunct to the university itself to conduct technical courses of its choice and selection.What it means is that the AICTE Act,1987 is applicable only to 'technical institutions' and universities are not ' technical institutions', excluding them from the purview of the AICTE Act.

I believe that universities do not need AICTE approvals and if talked about the UGC then i can say clearly that LPU is Well established  UGC approved private university. You will not face any issues. LPU students are studying abroad and even working also. LPU has tie-ups with international universities as well where a student can go abroad for studying. All the world level agencies like WES is giving equal equivalency to LPU degree. Then how it is going to create any problem.

As per my knowledge, Lovely Professional University does not require an AICTE approval since it is already approved by UGC, a statutory body of the Government of India. This is because universities do not require AICTE approval compulsorily. They might apply for approval from AICTE just to add another feather to their cap. It is the colleges which require compulsory AICTE approval, so if you are directly studying at the university you do not need to worry.

I will not quote anything,but will tell you the truth, as per the academic industry requirement. I am a admission consultant and I guide students for admission in different universities or colleges in India and even abroad. First point to be noted by you is, that if you are planning for higher education in abroad, what matters is your SAT, MCAT, LSAT, GMAT, GRE, IELTS and  TOEFL scores. Your graduation scores also matters , but the point that it is not AICTE approved college or university, doesn't matter at all. Even if you are planning for higher education in any college in India, then also, your entrance scores and graduation scores matters and not the recognition.

I have one of my student, who is a pass out of LPU 2014 batch . B.Tech Mechanical, he qualified gate, further done his M.Tech from DTU and currently pursing Ph.D from IIT kurushetra. Also, I know few LPU alumni, who are currently studying in IIM after their graduation from LPU.

Further, for abroad, LPU also has many foreign tie ups and many students of LPU are currently studying abroad.
