i got 77.51 percentile in Gujarat board. can i give improvement exam to get 80 percentile in the same year to be eligible for iit jee advanced? can i give improvement exam for only particular subject?what are the choices left with me to get 80 percentile now?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 31st May, 2020

Hello,

To be eligible for JEE Advanced you need to either score 75% aggregate if you belong to general category or if you belong to SC/ST category you need to score 65% aggregate in the qualifying exam or you need to be in top 20 percentile in your respective board. If you have the required percentage you don't need to worry. If you will appear in improvements you need to appear in all five subjects.

as I get 56% in Gujarat board but 82 percentile in jee mains and I am ST categories so in Rajasthan which gov college is best for me

Anurag Khanna 19th May, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

According to your percentile your rank would be near around 1,80,000. On the basis of this rank you cannot get any NIT even in Rajasthan also and also you have not qualified the JEE-Main exam as 75% is mandatory to qualify JEE-Main. But you can try for some good government colleges in Rajasthan like Rajasthan Technical University, Kota;Government Engineering College, Bikaner;Bikaner Technical University and many more. From this year engineering colleges in Rajasthan will take admission solely on the basis of 10+2 merit.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 19th May, 2020

hi,

see you may find the quite similarity between the theoretical knowledge and practical work of computer science between gujrat state board and cbse since a standard syllabus is followed in all of the board for 10+2 or 10th standard students , so they may appear in all state and national level entrance test, however there is some difference of topics is available in both of the board syllabus.

if I got overall percentile of 83.67 in Gujarat board and 92.6 percentile in mains am I eligible for advance

Sharon Rose Student Expert 18th May, 2020

Hello,

Candidates who qualify in JEE Main will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced. The cut off for JEE Main 2020 will be released once the exam is concluded, the cut off will depend on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam, number of seats available etc.A percentile 85 or above is a decent percentile to qualify. So there are decent chances of you qualifying in JEE Main. You may concentrate more on JEE Advanced.

I got 75.2%age in 12th Gujarat board and 97.324849%ile in Jee Mains. Can I get admission in NITs? Also in which NITs I can get ECE?

Pritam Singh 18th May, 2020

Hey there

As per jee mains previous year cutoff your rank will be around 24k using the method (100-97.324849=2.68) and for this percentage your rank will be around 24k. For admissions into NITs this rank is sufficient but getting ECE totally depends on your home state as for ECE from other state quota will be difficult your home state NIT may give you ECE.
