Hello aspirant, Yes, with a rank of 622 in IPU CET for MBA, you have a very good chance of getting admission into Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), Delhi. In previous years, the closing rank for MAIT in general category has gone beyond 600 in the final counselling rounds. Since you fall within this range, your chances are strong, especially if you list it high in your preference order. MAIT is among the top colleges under GGSIPU for MBA and is usually in demand, so participating in early counselling rounds will improve your chances. Make sure your documents and fee payment are ready to avoid last-minute issues.
Dear student,
If you’ve scored 622 rank in IPU CET and you're from Delhi , your chances of getting into top IPU colleges are very good , especially for popular courses like BBA, BCA, BJMC, or B.Com (Hons) .
Delhi students benefit from home state reservation , which means cut-offs are generally lower than for outside-Delhi candidates. In recent years, top colleges like VIPS, MAIT, JIMS, MSI , etc., have had closing ranks much higher than 622 for these courses.
For example, Delhi candidates with ranks up to 1500–3000 have easily secured seats in these colleges and programs.
Fill out all top colleges and courses during counselling.
Prioritize based on your interest—seat allotment depends on preference and availability .
With your rank, you’re in a strong position to get into some of the best colleges under IPU.
First, try for Jagannath International Management School in the first shift. Last year, students with a rank around 2322 got a seat here. Then, you can try for Jagan Institute of Management Studies Rohini in the second shift. Its closing rank was around 2114. Next, consider Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies second shift. Its last year closing rank was around 1019, so you may not get it easily, but you can still keep it in preference in case the cutoffs drop. Finally, you should add Institute of Innovation in Technology and Management second shift. This college had closing ranks up to 5776, so you have a good chance there.
You should list these colleges in order of your preference, giving more importance to evening shift and better colleges first. You can wait for Round 3 also if you don’t get a seat in Round 2.
Hi Yash,
You have secured a good ranking in your IPU exam. The notable top BBA colleges in IPU are VIPS (Pitampura), MAIMS (Rohini), MSIT (Janakpuri) and JIMS (Vasant Kunj).
Based on the previous year cut off for BBA which was around 2900 for 1st round, I believe you will most likely get admission in either VIPS or MSIT, so keep any of them on top as they are the best also the campus life is notably better.
If by any chance you do not get admission in either VIPS or MSIT put MAIMS the next one. You may also try your luck with GGSIPU main campus in Dwarka but the cut off for it is much lower so keep that in mind.
Your preference should be:
ALL THE BEST !

Here some colleges :
THANK YOU.
Hi Hansika,
If your 12th status is appearing as "Appearing and still open in your IPU B. Tech counselling application and during correction window closed, don't worry. It basically do not impact your counselling process immediately, but you have to submit correct documents (mark sheet and passing certificate) during document verification. Otherwise, later on, your admission may be cancelled. You should try to get in touch with the IPU helpdesk mention your situation to them or call the admission office as soon as possible to get official advice.
Hello!
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) and Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) do have reservation policies, but they follow the rules set by the university. Usually, the EWS reservation is applicable as per government guidelines. However, for law admissions through CLAT, seats are often divided between Delhi region and outside Delhi region candidates. Outside Delhi students can apply under the EWS category if they meet the eligibility criteria and if the institute has mentioned EWS seats for that quota in their admission brochure. The best way to confirm is to check the official VIPS admission prospectus for the year 2025 or contact their admission office directly. Rules may slightly differ each year, so don’t rely only on old information. Keep your documents ready for EWS verification if you’re applying.
Best wishes for your admission process. Thank you
Hello Rakesh,
With a JEE Main score of 270317 , your chances of getting admission to a B.Tech ECE course in IPU ( Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University ) are low , but not impossible , especially if you are a Delhi resident . You should still apply and participate in the counselling process, focusing on filling your preferences strategically. Aim for colleges near Rohini, Delhi, and be prepared to consider other branches or even other universities if needed.
Thank you!!
