Yes it is necessary to do offline verification of your category documents you have chosen for.

The centers will be alloted to you rankwise before your couselling begin which will be different colleges

and you have to visit those colleges wherer your offline verification of category will be done and it is compulsary but you can write a letter to change the date for you.
