Yes you should wait for spot counselling because chances are quite low that you will get a good college. Don't worry there are other options also you can fill up the entrance exam of DU-JAT it is also one of the popular course.

As you have not mentioned your category I assume you belong to unreserved category.
With unreserved category and 231 marks, you might not get any government medical college through All India quota or state quota. But, you can opt for private colleges through state quota.
