Congratulations on your board result. For admission in any branch of B.Tech. only All India Rank (AIR) or CRL is taken into account. I would like to add one more thing that having a Punjab domicile might help you as GNDU has 85% reservation quota for Punjab residents.

If you belong to obc category and has reservation then your category rank will be taken into consideration for admission procedure into any college. So I would suggest you to write your category rank, it would be obvious that it is your category rank if you have specific your category as obc in the form.

With your mentioned score you cannot get NITs as you do pass the criteria of 75% aggregate in board exams. You should try for state level engineering colleges which accept JEE scores. You may get a good college and your desired branch over there.

If you are going to appear in bachelor of science exams i.e. (BSC Hons. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) you just need to well prepare your all syllabus of class 11th and class 12th and for good rank in common entrance test do follow competitive syllabus as well, otherwise there is no issue if you had studied well during your 11th and 12th as GNDU entrance test is not that much tough.

Study thoroughly and understand all concepts from reference books, so to attempt objective type questions.
