Post Graduate Scholarship for M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm. to GATE/GPAT qualified candidates:
The GATE/ GPAT qualified students admitted to AICTE approved courses in Engineering and Technology i.e. M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm. courses in Central, State, Deemed and Private Universities will be provided scholarship by UGC. AICTE will provide PG Scholarship only to technical institutions which are approved by AICTE and defined in section 2(h) of the AICTE Act.
The tenure of the scholarship is strictly two years without any further extension.
Scholarship @ Rs. 12,400/- p.m.
Contingency @ Rs. 5,000/- p.a.

If a student scores below 60% in any semester he/she shall be paid scholarship @ Rs. 1,550/- in that particular semester, if student re-appear for the same semester and scores above 60%, he will be entitled to get a regular scholarship i.e. @ Rs. 12,400/- p.m. for that semester in which student reappeared. But thereafter he is eligible for full scholarship amount, in the next semesters.

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme:
As per AICTE notification, Tuition Fee Waiver seats for economically weaker meritorious candidates are also available in B.Tech. programs of the University. No tuition fee will be charged from the candidates admitted against such seats.
Fee Waiver seats will be limited to a maximum of 5% of the approved intake in the course and will be over and above the sanctioned intake. The candidates willing to avail the benefit of the Tuition Fee Waiver scheme must submit the required documents/ certificates for Verification.

HBTU take admissions in their UG courses through Jee Mains. Now come to your question, If you are from Uttar Pradesh domicile then your jee mains category rank will give you the adantage otherwise only jee mains general rank (CRL) will work out.

But according to your college recommendations HBTI Kanpur is very good college. There are so many courses available.

But if you clear your question then it should be more easy to us clear your doubt dear.

According to last year cut offs of HBTI Kanpur the cut off rank for chemical engineering in general category is nearly 45000 and for EWS category it is 6000 to 7500 so you have less chances to get admission in this college also.

Judging from the previous years results, it is safe to say that a general category student needs marks over 400 to get into HBTI Kanpur.

But if you want seat in popular branches like ME,CSE then you need to have at least 500 marks to secure your seat.

Placements have been an important part of the college, having had a few great recruiters along side the good ones. Approximately 250-300 students receive campus placements in companies like Adani Wilmar, Exxon Mobil, Stat beans, TCS, Infy, Hindalco, Burger, Jio and several other big players.

The faculties, particularly permanent, are very very knowledgeable & they have loads of experience.

Hi aspirant, since you have 300K rank in JEE mains and 20000 SC Category rank so based on this let me tell you that there are less chances that you can get into HBTU on this rank if if somehow you get HBTU than it is sure that you have to compromise with the non willing branch in the institution. So you may give it a try for admission there but keep side look on the other colleges as well.
