Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata
Hello,
Candidates must have earned (or be in the final year of) a bachelor's degree, such as a B.Sc , B.A., or B.Com., from an accredited University with the necessary minimum percentage, according to the general eligibility requirements for the B.Ed. CET in the majority of Indian states. Given that you have a backlog in your final year of B.Sc. Chemistry, your eligibility typically depends on whether the exam body permits candidates with backlogs to take the test. As long as you clear the backlog and turn in the final degree mark sheet before the counselling/admission deadline, you can usually take the CET, but your admission will be provisional.
Choosing between Biotechnology and Civil Engineering depends on your interests and career goals. Biotechnology can offer exciting opportunities in research, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals, especially if you're passionate about biological sciences and innovation in life sciences. Civil Engineering, on the other hand, provides a more traditional engineering path with opportunities in infrastructure development and construction.
If you're interested in biotechnology and the field excites you, it could be a worthwhile choice. However, if you feel more inclined towards traditional engineering and the opportunities it presents, you might have considered civil engineering more suitable. Both fields have their merits, so it's essential to align your choice with your career aspirations and interests.
Hope it helps..

Hello Arsh
The cutoff changes every year, But by looking at the previous year cutoff I can say that the safe rank for HIT to secure a CSE seat is between 25k-55k. so it's little difficult for you to get a seat but you should apply for the counselling process and hope for the best. You can use the below provided link to find some more colleges based on your percentile :-

Hello Aspirant,
It is quite difficult to make any accurate prediction of your admission chances for any particular campus or branch because the cut-offs keep on changing every year depending upon various factors such as :-
*** number of candidates appeared in WBJEE 2022
*** difficulty level of the paper
*** top score for WBJEE 2022
*** total number of seats available for admission and so on
However, on the basis of previous year's cut-off you have good chances in following colleges for mechanical branch :-
Abacus Institute of Engineering & Management, Mogra, Hooghly
Techno India University, Salt Lake
Techno Main Salt Lake, Sector-V, Salt Lake
Netaji Subhas Engineering College, Garia, Kolkata
And some more....
Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata is quite difficult on such GMR because last year the closing GMR for Mechanical Engineering in Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata was around 23k.
You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
You can also use WBJEE College Predictor for more accurate predictions :-
