Hope you are doing great. Although it cannot be stated in a definite manner, with reference to historic data and past trends, the cutoff for biotechnology in Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT) goes to around 90K - 1.2 lakhs.

HIT also accepts scores of WBJEE and the cutoff in WBJEE for biotechnology goes to around 16K.

Yes, it is genuinely a good choice. When it comes to Heritage Institute of Technology, there campus life is amazing, faculties are really good and the labs are well equipped. Coming to placements, most of the students get placements that too in good companies so yes, you can move on with Chemical Engineering curriculum from Heritage Institute.

First of all you need to know which college you are expecting and to get cse in NIT trichy, best for cse branch through jee mains percentile.... You have to score minimum 98 percentile in jee mains if you are general category.

But if you are belonging to general category then you need to score a minimum of 68+  percentile to get admission in HIT Kolkata and for reserved category, you need to score a minimum of 50+ percentile. In the last few years, the closing rank for this college has been maximum up to 1,30,000 for the Biotechnology  branch. You can look for some other colleges of West Bengal that considers JEE MAIN rank.
