I got 75.6 percentile in jee mains . Can I will select in hpcet 2019. My category is sc

Afreen Anjum Student Expert 24th May, 2019

Hii Harsh...

For selection in HPCET ,and the   admission in participating institute,.are offered on the basis of JEE main score ,HPCET 2019 and 10+2 marks.

As your percentage in jee main is 75.6 %..and the mark cutoff of jee main for SC  is 54...so if you clarify jee main exam ,then you are able to get direct admission .So there are clear chances you you to get select with 75.6% and SC category.

In HPCET 50% of seat reserved for jee main ,other for HPCET exam.

Candidates have to score atleast 45% in qualifying exam and 5% relaxation for reserved category.

Cut -off for b.tech admission through jee main 2019,HPCET and 10+2:-

                  Gen category    Reserved category

JEE main .     15% .                       10%

HPCET .          20%                         15%

10+2 .             55% .                        50%

Hope it will help!!

All the best!!

Ive score 71 marks in hpcet and 64 percentile in jee mains. Can I get any good govt. College ?

Vemireddy Rushita Student Expert 20th May, 2019

Hey Srishti,

Himachal Pradesh Comman Entrance Test is usually conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Techinical University, to provide admissions to the students in the government colleges who have secured the good score in HPCET. It dosen't consider jee marks for admission process. The seats to the candidates will be alloted based on only the HPCET score secured by the candidate. Assuming you are a general category student, i am sorry to say that you might not get a chance to get into any good government colleges. But you need not worry at all, there are many private colleges out there which will give you admission based on your jee mains marks and board examination score. With your jee mains marks you will be able to get into many of the best private colleges across india.

Hope this Helps.

Good Luck! will be happy to help you with any other doubts.
