The mode of test will be English. There will be 150 MCQ questions in total to be solved within 3 hours. The B.Tech test is conducted in offline mode. There will be 3 sections in the question paper. For each correct answer you will be awarded 2 marks and half marks will be deducted for every wrong response.

Himachal Pradesh University offers admission to B.Tech program in Regular and Lateral Entry modes. The minimum educational qualification for admission should be 10+2 with 50% marks for B.Tech and Diploma or B.Sc with 60% marks is required for B.Tech (Lateral Entry). Admission is based on the entrance conducted by HP University. According to the sources of the university, the candidates who are seeking admission under Sponsored category under Lateral Entry mode, must have at least five years of work experience in Government Organization or PSUs in the relevant field. The Entrance exam is conducted by the university itself which consists of two papers- Paper I and Paper II with 100 MCQs each. The test centeres are at Chandigarh, Shimla, Delhi and Dharamshala only. Paper I consists of Physics and Math which have 50 questions each and Paper II consists of Aptitude Test with Logical Reasoning,IT with GK and English language. They have 40, 40 and 20 questions respectively. Good Luck!
