Question : 35 percent of the marked price is equal to 40 percent of the cost price. If no discount is given, then what will be the profit percentage?

Option 1: 12.5 percent

Option 2: 25 percent

Option 3: 14.28 percent

Option 4: 16.66 percent

Team Careers360 24th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: 14.28 percent

Solution : Given: 35 percent of the marked price (MP) is equal to 40 percent of the cost price(CP).
Profit percentage = $\frac{\text{Selling price – Cost price}}{\text{Cost price}}×100$
According to the question,
$MP \times \frac{35}{100}=CP\times \frac{40}{100}$
⇒ $\frac{MP}{CP}=\frac{8}{7}$
No discount was given.
So, MP = Selling price(SP) = 8
Profit percentage = $\frac{\text{Selling price – Cost price}}{\text{Cost price}}×100=\frac{8–7}{7}\times 100=\frac{1}{7}\times 100=14.28\%$
Hence, the correct answer is 14.28%.

can hostellers go outing in weekends?

adarshpratapsingh313 17th Jun, 2022

Dear Student

It depends on college rules, some college allow outing in weekends, some not. Before outing in weekends ,you should ask warden of hostel. If he allows then only you should go because ,without permission if you caught by college security guard or any faculty. Very strong action could be taken against you like fine or even rusticated in some cases.

Some college ask you a NOC ( no objection certificate) from your parents. that mean's all responsibilities on student's side and college will not be responsible for any misfortune.

Parvati Solanki 11th Jun, 2022

Hello

Both colleges are best for engineering . You can go as per your interest which is near to you.

Now let's compare both colleges.

placement ; sathyabama University has good placement as compared to hits University

Affordable :sathyabama is more affordable than HITS University

Infrastructure : HITS University has good infrastructure as compared to other one.

After all these ,we come to conclusion that Sathyabama University is narrowly a better choice in comparison to Hindustan University.

Can I do my PG while working as a junior resident in ESIC?

Vidya Kasi 24th Oct, 2021

Hi

I have come across some posts in internet related to your query. Few speculated that doing PG along with junior residency might not be a good choice. ESIC had 5 years bond before so doing PG midway was not feasible and breaking the bond was not affordable too as the money was in lakhs. There have been updates regarding ESIC bond period being reduced to a year or so in that case you may go for PG but you might have to confirm if it's true. It entirely depends on what you are signing up for. Choose wisely.

Hope this helps!
