Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai
Mr.Chetan
From the information that I have both these institutions have a good reputation. They seem to have good faculty and vibrant placement team. Hence I feel you should get admitted in any of these institutions.
So join it. It's one the best places to study AME. It gives you a proper environment to gain good practical as well as conceptual knowledge. The placement cell is also quite efficient as the placement reports of last few years are good. AME is a good course to take up nowadays as it a growing industry. It has a good developmental scope.
All the best!

Hello Aparna, Congratulations! However, you must attend the counseling and find out about your branch. It is difficult to tell you whether you will be allott\ed your desired branch or not. You can always opt out of the round if you do not get a seat of your choice.
You can contact the admistrative office of Hindustan University Kelambakkam in these phone numbers at their office timings :
044 27474262 or 044 2747 4395
You can also access them via email if they do not respond via their email address : info@hindustanuniv.ac.in
I am also a graduate student and a hostler too.
So as per my experience, I would prefer every student to live in hostel firstly and then accordingly go for PG.
If your college is providing good service, then I don't think PG is required. Hostel is somewhat safer than PG.
As if we talk about Chennai, then you should firstly experience hostel life there and then further decide what will be better.
Hello student,
There are 2 hostels for Indian girls in Hindustan University, Chennai. There are Ac rooms with dou le sharing, and Non Ac rooms with double and tripe sharing.
Coming to the fee structure,
Ac rooms: Rs 1,75,000 (Attached bathroom and double sharing)
Non Ac rooms: Rs 1,20,000 (Attached bathroom and double sharing)
Non Ac rooms: Rs 90,000 (Common bathroom and triple sharing)
Hope it cleared your query!!
Hello Aparna , No , rooms are available on double sharing , triple or quadruple sharing basis. So single bedroom is not available for single girl.
I hope it will help.
Thanks.
