is kcet required for BSc horticulture?

Akanksha 19th Jul, 2021
Hii

The main aim of horticulturist is to improve the plant growth, quality, nutritional value, yield and resistance to insects, diseases, and environmental stresses. So it has a good scope in agricultural field.

So answer to your query is yes. To get admission in BSc. Horticulture in Karnataka, you need to get good rank in KCET. A rank under 7000 will work. KCET 2021 is scheduled on 28th and 29th August 2021.

You can even register for ICAR entrance exam which can also help you to get a seat in BSc. Horticulture from various Agricultural colleges in India.

Hope this helps

i m final year horticulture student... whats r the career opportunity or government posts through GATE exam..

Niranjana 12th Jul, 2021

Hello,

Horticulture's scope and business are expanding all the time. Floriculture is a type of horticulture that involves the cultivation of flowers that are used as a raw material in the pharmaceutical sector to make fragrances and cosmetics. Vegetable cultivation is an essential aspect of horticulture, which is in high demand in India.

Following the conclusion of this course, a variety of career options will become accessible. Following that, one can work as a horticulture, floriculturist, pomologist, and so on. One might also work as a scientist in research projects in this sector. You can work in production and sales, public gardens, marketing, research and development, landscape design, agricultural engineering, and pest management after completing this course.

Job opportunity

  • Project Manager
  • Gardener
  • Foreman
  • Horticulturist
  • Horticultural Education Supervisor
  • Assistant Manager Human Resources
  • Professor

Recruiting companies:

  • Casa Verde Growers
  • Sun Valley Landscaping
  • Green Decor
  • Interior Plantscapes
  • Shorb Landscaping
  • ER&M ecological restoration and management
  • Greater Texas Landscape Services
  • Iffco Kisan Sanchar Limited

A horticulturist may earn a decent living since the sector is continuously expanding and there is a high demand for high-quality plants, flowers, and fruits. Although both the private and public sectors pay well, a horticulture's compensation in the private sector is higher than that of a public sector horticultural. A horticulturist receives a good pay as well as additional perks such as a set stipend.

Hope it helped

Thank you
