HSC is actually Higher Secondary Certificate.  Basically it is a combined pack of both class 11 and 12. There is no specific qualify criteria.  You just need to score minimum percentage in every to pass the exam. Rather the highest result and all kind of improved results are depends

SEBC or the socially and educationally backward classes are always reserved a special category. In case of hsc or any 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized board can offer this special category only basis of minimum of 40%.

Minimum of passing marks is enough for it.
