Hi aspirant,
Hope you are doing good.
Yes, you can get a good college if you have 366 rank. I cannot state here accurately because the cutoff tends to change every year due to the difficulty level of the paper and the no of people who take the exam but it is sure that you will get a decent college at this rank. And at 149 ranks from OBC you will definitely be going to get a college of your wish. I am listing down the names of some good colleges which you can easily get at this rank.
Hope it helps
I am sure you will able to qualify that. In fact you can take two attempts. The best out of the two will be considered for admission and scholarship.
Lovely Professional University is the first private university to be accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. As far as the program is concerned, the LPU agriculture program is designed with a target of the holistic development of students.
School of Agriculture offers programs with an up-to-date curriculum designed to suit the aspirations of agricultural industries as well as major research and development sectors. The laboratories of the School are world-class. The dedicated faculty gives the students hands-on training experience by assigning live projects (Agricultural work) in university agricultural research farms and experiential learning on different agricultural units. It includes disciplines like Agronomy, Horticulture Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Economics, Extension, etc. The major emphasis of the program is to get the students acquainted with knowledge and hands-on experiences in the above-mentioned discipline and apply that knowledge to high-value agricultural production in a sustainable manner.
Of course, you can prepare well for ICAR UG Exam 2022 if you start studying from now onwards . There is still 5 months time (considering the exam doesn't get postponed and happens in the usual month of May) and in these 5 months of time, you can easily revise all 97 chapters and practice a few mock tests + previous year questions.
I would suggest you to prepare as if you are preparing for NEET UG 2022. This will be highly beneficial s ince chapters and syllabus of NEET UG and ICAR are exactly the same. Plus it is seen that, a candidate who performs well in NEET UG also performs good in the ICAR Exam.
If you have some basics to be cleared or have some new chapters pending, then you can easily clear them all online with Careers360 Platform. To look at such courses (which will help you in NEET UG, and thus in ICAR as well), you may visit the link - Careers360 NEET Solution: Complete Preparation and Study Materials for Students
If you have studied all chapters at least once and want to do a quick revision, you may look at this Crash Course, as offered by Careers360 - NEET Knockout 2022 – Online Preparation Course, Mock Test, Kadha & Practice Test Series 2022 (careers360.com)
WHAT RANK TO AIM FOR?
To get admission in the most sought after course (i.e. BSc Agriculture) via ICAR exam in good colleges (like Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, etc), you must aim for an All India Rank of 200. However, even with a rank of 1000-2000, you can easily get BSc, Agriculture in any Govt. ICAR College in India.
One year is enough to prepare well for ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) UG Exam, as conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency).
The difficulty level of ICAR Paper is slightly more as compared to NEET UG, but a bit easier as compared to JEE Mains (Physics and Chemistry part). However, selection in ICAR Colleges is easier as compared to government medical colleges via NEET (as ratio of number of NEET UG candidates to govt medical seats is extremely high).
HOW TO PREPARE?
I would suggest you to d o your preparation according to NEET UG. If you do well in NEET UG, your performance in ICAR is also expected to be good. Just few days before ICAR Exam, go through it's previous year papers.
If you want to prepare online, you may take a look at the NEET UG Courses as offered by Careers360 (with benefits like AI Learning, Personalised Timetables, Mock Tests, 24x7 Doubt Support, etc at affordable rates) - Careers360 NEET Solution: Complete Preparation and Study Materials for Students
