Hii,
If your degree has been discontinued since 2019, the first thing you should do is contact the university or college where you were enrolled. Every university has its own set of rules regarding academic discontinuation and re-admission. In most cases, universities allow students to resume studies within a certain number of years under a readmission policy. Since it’s been a few years, you might have to submit an application for readmission or request permission from the academic board
Some universities also have special or backlog exams for discontinued students. Make sure to gather your past mark sheets, ID proof, and any correspondence or leave letters (if applicable) to support your request. If the gap is too long and rejoining isn’t allowed, you might have to start afresh in a new program but don’t worry, many open universities like IGNOU or NIOS allow credit transfers.
Hope you will find it helpful!

Congratulations on securing 580 marks in 10th and getting into IIIT! It’s absolutely okay to feel confused about which branch to select — it’s a big decision, and many students go through this phase.
Here are some tips to help you decide:
Understand your interests – Do you enjoy problem-solving and logic? You might like Computer Science. If you love math and design, consider Electronics or Data Science.
Explore each branch – You can research the syllabus and future career paths for branches like CSE (Computer Science), ECE (Electronics), IT (Information Technology), etc.
Talk to seniors and teachers – Try reaching out to current IIIT students on platforms like LinkedIn or Quora for real insights.
Think long-term – Choose a branch that aligns with your career goals or higher studies (like software development, government jobs, or research).
Don’t worry if you're still unsure. Many students discover their interests in the first year itself. Choose what excites you the most!
Hey !
With a 270 rank in SRMJEE (PG) , you have a good chance of getting a seat in M.Tech Cloud Computing at the SRM Chennai (Kattankulathur) campus, but it mainly depends on seat availability and cut-off trends for this year.
Here are a few points to help you:
Cloud Computing is a popular specialisation, so the competition can be a bit high , but your rank is still quite decent .
If you are from Tamil Nadu or have category reservation , it might improve your chances.
Keep checking the counselling updates and be ready with your documents.
If possible, try to attend the first round of counselling , as more seats will be available.
You should also keep a backup option ready just in case.
All the best!
