What position do IIM campus recruits get?

Anushri Varshney 30th Dec, 2021

Hi there,

The placement in IIM's are always decent. The position of the graduates depends on the fields they want to join. There are various job roles and streams on which a student can apply for. Directly becoming a VP/ AVP is not possible since for that the graduates must have those skills. Being from a management institute, the roles are majorly on the management sector, those are dependent upon the interest of the candidate and the number of offers placed for the recruitment.

Generally, in E-commerce companies such as Flipkart, Amazon the roles are Category manager, Assistant product manager, Vendor manager etc whereas in Consulting companies, the graduates mostly joined as Junior/ senior associate or analysts.

Hope this will you !

Still in case of any doubt, kindly revert here,

Thank you:)

What is deferred placement policy and which IIM has it?

Ria Bafna 27th Dec, 2021

Hey aspirant

The Deferred Placement Policy allows students to forego the opportunity to sit for placements at the time of graduation and instead attend placements 1/2 year later, with a junior batch.

The policy encourages institutes to encourage their students to pursue entrepreneurial ventures by providing a safety net in the event that their startup fails.

Some of India's top business schools, including IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, and IIM Bangalore, have such a policy.

I hope this was helpful!

Which is better IIM or NICMAR?

Riya Goel 26th Dec, 2021

Hello there,

One major difference is that any graduate can apply for IIM where as Civil Engineer or Construction related people apply for NICMAR.

IIM offers better placement opportunities than NICMAR. Top companies like Adidas, Accenture, Abbott etc have tie ups with IIMs.

For the year 2019-20, average salary offered to NICMAR students was 6.75 Lpa whereas for IIMs it was 22-25 Lpa. There is a very significant difference in placement opportunities offered.

Choose wisely and after considering all the factors. These are one of the most crucial decisions of life. Think before stepping into anything. All the best for your future.
