IIM
Hello aspirant,
Both CA (Chartered Accountant) and MBA (Masters of Business Administration) are great degrees to pursue and are in high demand. Having said this, I would also like to point out that many Chartered Accountants do pursue their MBAs from top universities like IIMs, therefore with respect to demand, scope of better jobs MBA is a better degree.
P.S. IIMs do not offer MBA degree but they offer PGDM (Post Graduate in Diploma Management). Although these are diplomas, their values (due to IIM-Stamp) is immense.
Hope this was helpful.

Hello dear,
Hope you're good,
It doesn't matter how much you score in class 10, yes can give cat examination. The cat syllabus consists of the Data Interpretation and logical reasoning (DILR) Quantitative aptitude (QA) of the verbal capacity and the reading comprehension (VARC). It contains not just the mathematics but also logical English thinking, and some of the 12 themes are in the mathematical section. So you have to concentrate.
You need the right guidance for cat or an adequate institute to guide you.
I propose that you select the finest platform to prepare your cat by my personal experience. Because after coaching students miss 3 or 2 score.
Best Of Luck
I hope that I have answered your question and that this information will be useful to you in the future.

Hi, hope you are doing well!
Chartered Accountancy is a professional course to become Chartered Accountant. The course has 3 levels and it is considered one of the toughest professional courses. It offers a great career path, salary, and respect among people. The profession involves management of finances for an entity. This includes managing financial accounts, budgeting, auditing, business strategy and taxation.
Indian Institute of Management(IIM) is one of the premiere B-School of India. There are a number of IIMs across the country and the best three are IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta. IIM mainly offers post graduation courses, the most popular among them is an MBA degree from IIM. To get to an IIM for MBA one needs to crack CAT examination with a very high percentile.
Career paths should always be chosen based on one's likes, dislikes, skills and long-term life goals. As you are in your 12th standard currently, you still have some time to understand what is best for you.
For these two options, both of them are excellent career choices with higher than average package and utmost amount of respect in the society. You can definitely choose any of the options based on your liking. There are some IIMs that offer integrated Graduation and Post Graduation degrees but unfortunately the 3 best IIMs don't offer integrated courses. For that you have to complete your graduation and side-by-side prepare for the CAT examination. However, you can start CA course right after your 12th Board exams.
You can start CA along with your graduation. In your final year of graduation you can start preparing for CAT then get into one of the IIMs.
Regarding unemployment, it can be in any of the career paths. It totally depends on your effort, hard-work and skills. Recession is a different case but it would definitely not impact these two career paths.
As per past year trends IIMs offer 100% placements.
Hello Vishnu,
Hope you are doing all good. Irrespective of your branch (Food Technology) you will fall under the umbrella of Engineers when you apply for CAT. Now, since you want an admission in IIM Ahmedabad, let me tell you that on IIM Ahmedabad does not offer specialized courses such as Agri Business and Management at least at the PGDM level.
It provides you with a diploma in general management with which you can enter into any management field be it Agri Business and Management.
So to answer your question straight, Yes you can apply for CAT in order to get admission in IIM Ahmedabad being a Food Engineering student but rest assured you will have to clear the normal cutoff as of any engineer. No benefit will be given due to your background. However, your background and aspiration in Agri Management might be helpful during the PI.
