6. Geometry [Congruency of triangles, Similarity of triangles, Quadrilaterals(especially focus on the properties of parallelograms and rhombus), Some theorems related to triangles (ex: Pythagoras theorem, Thales’ theorem, Angle Bisector theorem, Ceva’s theorem,etc.),etc.][MUST DO]
7. Mensuration [Class 9 and 10 level]
8. Coordinate Geometry[Focus on the basics, the straight lines, circle (you may leave the conic section)]
9. Functions [Concept of domain and range, Different types of functions, Different types of mappings, Even and Odd functions, Periodic functions, Composite functions, Graphs and its transformation, some basics of functional equations][MUST DO]
10. Trigonometry [Basic concepts, Identities, Heights and Distances, Compound Angles, Multiple Angles, Solution of Triangles]
11. Complex Numbers [Concept of iota, Algebraic operations, square root of a complex number, De Moivre’s theorem, Cube roots of unity. You can leave the geometrical representation and geometrical application of complex numbers]
12. Binomial Theorem [only basic concepts]
13. Basic concepts of Matrices and Determinants
14. Arithmetic [ mainly focus on Time,Speed and Distance, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Averages and Mixtures. ]
15. Logical Reasoning [Data Interpretation, etc.]

The result of IPMAT is expected to be declared in the fourth week of May 2018. 

Here is the list of all the important events:

To check your result:

1. Go to the official website of IPMAT.

2. Click on the “Results” button.

3. Enter your application form number.

4. Enter your registered email id or Date of Birth in DD/MM/YY format.

5. Enter the Security Code.

6. Click on 'Get Status' tab.

IPMAT 2018 result will appear on the screen.

Yes. The gap doesn't matter when you apply to college. However you should have a valid answer and reason explaining your year drop as that would definitely be a question in the interview round. 

Hi. This is a very subjective question. In the interview, the panels generally ask you about the information in the form that you have filled up, about the hobbies, why you want to join the college and so on. You can expect any question, so be prepared.

Yes, a student from the arts stream can appear for the IPMAT. Please refer to the link provided below for details on eligibility criteria required to appear for the IPMAT entrance test. Candidates applying for IPMAT 2018 should ensure that they comply by the eligibility criteria of the examination. Applications that do not satisfy the eligibility criteria will be rejected by the officials.

Last year, the minimum cutoff overall for NC-OBC category was 19.23 and the maximum was 63.69. Section-wise, the cutoff for QA section was 24 and VA section was 64. The official cutoff will be released in the fourth week of May. Check the following link to know more about the IPMAT 2018 cutoff -
