So, different IIMs demand different percentile for the admission of candidates. It ranges between 95 to 100, and it usually doesn't go any less compared to previous year cut offs.

Candidates with more than 10 months of work experience only are eligible for the Lateral Recruitment process. Lateral Placements at IIMs starts a month or two before the final placements. IITs and IIMs are the top most institutes in the country which produce exceptional students , which and this students gets placed in the top companies with very high packages , or they become successful enterpreneur , successful business men, become IAS or IPS officers or serve the country in many other ways , also in some cases they get placed abroad with very high packages , so indirectly they help a lot in growing the economy of the country , so the government is not going to stop funding these institutes completely , but as per the new instructions given by the HRD , no new IITs will be funded for making swimming pools , shopping complex , cafeteria , conventional hall with more than 500 seating capacity . But the government has not stopped funding for important things , so it is really hard for government to stop there fundings.
