Total fees is 3.15 lakhs, which is not much expensive for dual degree course for 5 years (full time).

I believe you are mistaken there are no Metallurgy Courses at IIT ISM Dhanbad. Department of Mining Engineering has three courses namely Mining, Mineral and Mining Machinery, and all three of them experience almost 90% placements with conglomerates like Tata Steel, Hindalco, Vedanta, Coal India, ExxonMobil, Schlumberger being regular recruiters. IIT ISM Being loacted near mineral rich areas of Jharkhand and Odisha further provides impetus to training and placement opportunities.

Secondly IIT ISM is a much older technical institute than IIT Jammu and has good infrastructure, faculty, research facilities and employer outlook.

To get into a core branch that too in state quota and obc NCL girl quota as well your rank must be something between 8000-9000 to get into any core branch with respect to all your reservation quotas.

But there is nothing to say about marks as Jee advance change their pattern every year and difficulty level also changes with respect to which college is preparing the paper.

Hope you are doing well. As per your query both of these colleges are very renowned and good amongst all the IITs. The placement status of ECE in IIT Dhanbad is good. The highest package offered was 43 LPA while the average and lowest was 14 LPA and 9 LPA. The faculties and staff there are well experienced and highly cooperative. Now coming to IIT Goa which started functioning in 2016. Till now there is no record of placements as the first batch will be graduating this year. 1. IITS mumbai is better college than ism, but metallurgy as iit mumbai is not that good.
2. Ece is a better branch than metallurgy
3. Placements are better ar iit mumbai but metallurgy has an average placement.
4. Ece is going to be in demand in future.
5. For abroad iit mumbai is better.

Hence I would suggest go for ism... But if you want iit mumbai then you can change your branch after first year if your perform the best among your batch.
