Hi Aspirant!

According to previous year cutoffs and trends the maximum rank under which a SC category student got admission in IIT any branch is under 2.5k approximately but your rank is above that so it would be impossible for you to get admission in IIT.

No this is not valid estimation because it is not necessary that if the total number of seats are 16,000 then the candidate securing rank 16,000 will get admission for sure, the reason being is that there are some rank positions on which more than one candidate get

No. Preparatory Ranks enable one to be eligible only for Preparatory Courses at IIT. On basis on performance in preparatory courses one is allotted branches at notable IITs.
