see government medical colleges has reservation for 85% seats for domicile candidates. so candidates who belongs to that particular state and fulfill the all the eligibility criteria along with marks of 12th course, age limit , has passed 12th exam from a recognized education board and eligible to apply. so even if you have studied from NIOS board you are eligible to 85% seat quota of  the state government medical colleges.

State counseling for state quota seats (85%) & private colleges including Management quota seats will be conducted through state counseling authority.

is it necessary to clear cds 1 before cds 2?

U. Janani 10th Dec, 2020

Hi Jyoti!

No, it is not necessary! Combined Defence Services Exam is conducted twice a year mostly in February and November. The one coming in February is CDS 1 and the other coming in November is CDS 2.

Both are the same exam dated at different times of the year. So, writing anyone at your convience is enough!

Hope this is helpful!

All the best!

which one is better for BAMS? RISHIKUL STATE AYURVEDIC COLLEGE OR GOVT AYURVEDIC COLLEGE GURUKUL KANGRI?

Himani Bisht 29th Mar, 2021

Both the colleges are under Uttarakhand ayurveda University.

Faculties are almost same because they got transfer from rishikul to Gurukul time to time.

Infrastructure is also almost same.

The difference is in its location which also affects the no. Of patient in opd. Rishikul campus is situated in main road and market. It is easily in reach of patients. So comparatively no. Of patients are more here. Gurukul is almost a km from main road. You can reach there by your own vehicle or booking some auto. This clearly affects the no. Of patients there.

As location matters, the availability of basic needs for students is better in rishikul campus as it is near market.

Rishikul campus has more PG departments then Gurukul campus which increases the chance of more faculty members.

Gurukul campus is situated inside gurukul vishvavidyala which is completely a male campus. Girls of ayurvedic College is only girl campus there, which sometime may become uncomfortable for some.

For BAMS first year hostel is not available in rishikul campus but there are plenty of Rooms outside the campus for rent.

Overall, i suggest, prefer rishikul  campus
