I have 89.3 % in 10th 77.6 in 12th and 85% in Graduation can I expect a call if I get above 97 percentile from IIMs

Mohit Gupta 16th Jul, 2020

Hii Aman Singh

You have a really good educational background.

If you score about 95+ percentile, you will definitely get a call from IIM.

It can be old IIMs or new IIMs, for getting calls from Major IIMs like Ahemdabad, Calcutta and Bangalore, you need to score 99+ percentile if you are a b.com/Ba graduate and if you are an engineer you need to score 99.50+.

But for New IIMs you can easily get calls after scoring 95+ percentile and your conversion depends upon your performance in Group discussion and personal interview also written ability test.

All the best for your preparations.

Hello,

No you are not eligible as the eligibility criteria for  DU LLB 2020 is that the candidate must have passed graduate/postgraduate exam scoring at least 50% marks in aggregate. You need to have passed your UG with minimum of 50% to be eligible. As you have one backlog you won't be eligible to give DU LLB entrance exam. I have 49% in graduation . And I dont want to give any of entrance exam .could uh suggest some colleges for MBA or PGDM?

Rishi 10th Jul, 2020

Without any entrance exams getting a good b school is tough, its almost next to impossible. But you can try getting into colleges which have management quota. Management quota seats will charge the double the fees than normal fees. There are also some colleges which allow direct admission without any entrance exams through graduation score and past academic performance.

Here some of the top b schools which allow direct admission :

SCHOOL OF INSPIRED LEADERSHIP, GURUGRAM
PGDM RS 16.5 LAKHS

FORE SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT, NEW DELHI
PGDM RS 14.5 LAKHS

INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES, GHAZIABAD
PGDM RS 7.5 LAKHS

JAIPURIA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, NOIDA
PGDM RS 5.75 LAKHS

AMITY GLOBAL BUSINESS SCHOOL, NOIDA
MBA/PGPM RS 7.30 LAKHS

GREAT LAKES INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, GURUGRAM

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 16th Aug, 2020

IIMs shortlist candidates for the interview stage based on their own criteria, which may be independent of each other. The process may include Written Ability Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interviews. Performance in the CAT examination is an important component in the admission process. IIMs may additionally use other factors such as the previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience, gender and academic diversity and other similar inputs in shortlisting and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process. The processes, academic cut-offs and the weights allocated to the evaluation parameters may vary across IIMs These are the cut offs of IIM A, B and C for the year 2019.

IIM BANGALORE:

For all the Candidates shortlisted, the 10th and 12th board results are initially adjusted by dividing each such score by 90th percentile score of that board. And then an adjusted score is calculated for the Bachelor's degree for each of the candidates based on the final scores obtained by the candidate are used for the Bachelor's degree and professional degrees. For example,

CAT = 40
10th board = 20
12th board = 10
Bachelors = 20
Gender Diversity = 2
Work Experience = 8
The 40 points for CAT are derived from the performance in each of the three sections as follows:
Verbal & Reading Comprehension - 14 points
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning - 16 points Quantitative Aptitude - 10 points.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 6th Jul, 2020

Hello,

The eligibility criteria to appear in CMAT for MBA program is that candidate must have passed bachelor's degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks and for SC/ST/Pwd it is 45% marks from a recognized board.

And the eligiblity for MAH CET is that candidate must have passed bachelor's degree in any discipline with 50% marks or its equivalent and for reserved category/pwd it is 45% those who belong to Maharashtra. Candidates belonging to other state must have passed bachelor's degree with 50% marks irrespective of their category.

Hello Sir/Maam May I give CAT entrance exam on the behalf of Post Graduation marks. Actually I scored 69% in M.EG Program but in Graduation I scored only 49.5%. So, Is it possible to appear for CAT exam on the behalf of Post Graducation marks.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 28th Jun, 2020

Hello

CAT eligibility criteria says that:

To be eligible for CAT ,
you need a  Bachelor's degree with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA  while those who are from SC/ST/PH category need only at least 45 percentage in Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline to be eligible

So , it is your score or % obtained in graduation which is considered for CAT eligibility and not that of post graduation ,so one cannot be eligible for CAT on the basis of score or percentage of obtained  in the post graduation

Now ,

You have got 49.5% in your graduation ,so you are not eligible for CAT if you belong to General or OBC category but if you belong to SC/ ST or pH category then you are eligible for CAT examination
