I have scored 91% in 10th and 74% in 12th and 8 cgpa in graduation. should I prepare for CAT to get calls from IIM?

Adil Suaib Khan Student Expert 19th Apr, 2020

Hii,

You should prepare, apply and appear for the CAT exam and also for other top B-school examinations for admissions to top B-schools.But there are a number of other factors which judge whether you will get through even after getting a higher percentile. You subject in graduation subject, what category you fall in. If you belong to a commerce background then get 97-98+ percentile in cat then for sure you'll get calls from some of the CAP IIMs, MDI, IMT and other b schools, TOP IIMs are still very dicey. This doesn't apply for other b schools in the category like IIFT or even SIBM. For your cat prep.  For your cat prep. You can start off by appearing for a mock test conducted free online and assess your performance that'll help you see and judge the areas you need improvement in and then decide if you need coaching or you can go on by yourself. You can either go for self study or Prepare with a tutor. For english prep. You can start off with Word Power Made easy, do this book twice, don't rush but read it and learn for 30-45 mins everyday. For Quants and LR-Di Arun sharma. Giving a mock a week and analyzing your strengths and weakness in terms of topics, score, percentile score and the time you are spending per question is really important.

Do take mocks religiously and you'll see how much it can affect your preparation in a positive manner.

Which college is best for BBA Shipping: AMET university Tamil Nadu OR Coimbatore Marine college, chennai?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 19th Apr, 2020

hi,

according to students review, college infrastructure and placement records , I would prefer AMET university over coimbatore marine college for course of bba in shipping management, students get placement according to their cgpa in graduation course, so you need to work really hard by  your self to secure a high paying jobs, also 90% students give an internship during final year of studies, some of the top recruiters visits the campus is,

Anglo Eastern Ship Management Ltd,  Bernhard Schulte Ship Management,  DHL Express, Fleet Management,   K Line,  Larsen and Toubro, MAERSK, Mitsui Osk.

Pritam Singh 29th May, 2020

hey there

sp jain is one of the most renowned college for MBA in India. it takes admission in two ways one profile based and other score based which considers even low academic score. for admissions in mba programs at sp jain i will recommend you to have at least 80-85+ score in academics and if not then score very good percentile in CAT or XAT.

good luck

Hello Aspirant !

Earlier there are facts and many people believe that if you are not graduating from a good university it is worthless , and it will not proof at all beneficial for you in the future .  But , things have been changed now , if you are talented enough and have a good interest in what you are doing then also you can make good in your career if you are not graduating from a good university .

Yes , by graduating from good university your struggle rate is low , as you have more opportunities available in hand and you have a good university name in your resume also , but you can have a bright future if you are  graduating from a god college , only if you are interested and passionate about your work or study that you are doing.

In an office, the avg salary of the male employees as well as the avg salary of the female employees is 15000/- per month. find the avg salary per month of all employees.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 16th Apr, 2020
Let there are X number of male employees and X number of female employees.

Then total salary of all female employees

= X * 15000 = 15000 X

Also, total salary of all male employees

= X * 15000 = 15000 X

Then total salary = salary of all male employees +salary of all female employees

=. 15000 X + 15000 X = 30,000 X

Total number of employees

=. Male employees + female employees

=. X + X =2X

Then average salary of all employees =
total salary total number of employees

=.30000X 2X

=.15000

Thus, average salary is 15000
