I have 16 months of experience . How much should I get to get a call from IIFT Delhi.

IIFT releases calls above a threshold score which is relative in nature. It depends on the difficulty level of the exam and number of candidates appearing for the examination, hence it changes every year . There are sectional cutoffs as well and you need to clear those as well.

The cutoff can be somewhere between 46-50 for general category candidate.

An IIFT score can get you admission in India's finest MBA institute dedicated to impart education on foreign trade specialisation.
The score of IIT is widely accepted by the branches of this institution:
1. Indian Institute of Foreign Trade(IIFT)-New Delhi
2.Indian Institute of Foreign Trade(IIFT)-Kolkata
3.Indian Institute of Foreign Trade(IIFT)- Kakinada
The other colleges include Ininternational Institute of Management and Human Resources,Pune;Jain College of Engineering etcetera.

Do we have sectional cut off ? And negative marking in IIFT

Hello,

Yes there is overall as well as sectional cutoff in IIFT. Candidates securing equal to or more than the IIFT cutoff will be shortlisted for next round of selection procedure. Moreover, there is a negative marking for wrong answers. Candidates can check the previous year IIFT cutoff below.

Hey Gopesh!

Try to read business times or mint for IIFT G.K session. As they usually cover international business related news like international firms and their tag lines, logo and recent economic policies. You can purchase Manorama of this year. Secondly, go through previous year GK session in the question paper. As, I found few common questions in 2017 paper. Simliar Approach can be also considered for the GK session in SNAP. They ask some basic question, which can be solved through common sense, not much beforehand practise. But, few sections like business news, related to economic policies will need beforehand knowledge. Do go through Manorama. Best wishes!

Well in this modern world there is nothing like best.
Everything is best you just need to focus on your interest. For example mba in marketing is widely opted stream but people in mba finance earn more as it has wider scope.
Even mba in healthcare management and mba in tourism and travel has never ending scope.
You can do mba in sports management as with the advent of sporting leagues like indian premier league,Indian soccer league, pro kabbadi league, pro wrestling league, etc. It has a most exciting scope and you know sports is one such thing which is most sought after field in India.

How is my academic profile for MBA colleges like iim iift and xlri if the University from which I am pursuing bsc is ordinary.

See you have an outstanding academic records and it does not matter if the university from which you are doing graduation is ordinary.

Let me tell you after giving MBA exams like CAT, XAT, IIFT etc. every college prepare a merit list based on your aggregate score which comprises of many factors such as MBA exam marks, 10th 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non engineer, gender with different weightages for different colleges. Here academic records have a total of 10-25% weightage in your aggregate score in which you will ve scoring almost full with your excellent records. Hence it will boost up your chances of selection.

Remember one thing that still in every college's aggregate score mostly MBA exams has the highest weightage ranging from 35-60 % so always aim for a very high percentile in every exams then only you will be able to take benefit of your good academic records.

Now you will finish your exams in May 2018 and will give CAT 2018. Yes that will be consider as an year drop but you don't need to worry at all because it hardly impacts your selection process. You can be asked about the year drop in your interview process just prepare a solid reason to justify your decision. If you don't have any excuse then along with CAT preparations also do some relevant courses about management and personality so that you can say it in interview and justify that you were also learning new things in this year with CAT preparations.

Sectional cutoff depends on the colleges taking through these exams. In general, SNAP has no sectional cutoff. XAT and IIFT has sectional cutoff.

Current affairs and gk both are their in iift entrance exam ?

Hey Manish!

Both of them comes under one section, that’s the GK section. So, you go through Manorama of this year for the GK session. Plus, last year question paper for GK, cause I found numerous common questions from the prior year question paper only in this section. Secondly, you should go through Business Times or Mint. It will even help when you will Pursue MBA. Best wishes!
