Both the colleges have its own pros and cons.

The ratio of number of companies visiting campus to nunber of students is more in IIIT Allahabad. In simpler words more opportunity in IIIT Allahabad. 

As per ranking IIIT Allahabad is at better position than NIT Durgapur. Even fests are better than that of NIT Durgapur. 

But at NIT Durgapur you'll enjoy all the name and fame of college. Fees is also less and you'll get good job opportunity. 

But I'll strongly suggest to go for MNNIT.

So, as last year's cut off was 6259 for 140 seats, the cutoff for 172 seats can be somewhere around 7000 or less. I don't think it will go beyond that, as all the students wil be aware of this increment in the seat, so more number of students will opt for the same. So,  you can't expect a large difference in cutoff.

you need to at least have opte dfor computr science in class12th as main subject or optional

Apart from this, you need to have required score in engineering entrance test

You can easily get into SRM UNIVERSITY, Chennai FOR IT with this rank. SRM usually doesn't have a bar on intake on children. Hope I was able to help you.

As your rank is 13270, you have less chance of getting B.Tech ECE in IIIT Allahabad. But, yuou can get admission there for the 5 year Integrated M.Tech, ECE + Bio-Medical engg. the cutoff is around 14000.
