Hey!
Congratulations for your rank but you need to mention the examination you have appaered in then only we will be able to provide you with an answer.
Thanks.
Hey Amith Sourya S,
Well i would recommend CBIT because, IIIT kancheepuram is just rated as AAAA by Careers360 And ranked at 197th by NIRF MHRD Government of India For Engineering. which is far ranked above than CBIT. CBIT is rated as AAAA by Careers360. It is also ranked at 100th by NIRF MHRD Government Of India For Engineering. The ranking given by the government is based on the equipment of labs, infrastructure, no.of doctorate faculty in the college, placements, events and activities. Under these parameters CBIT is ranked at best that IIIT Kancheepuram. CBIT is the no.1 private engineering college of Telangana. The tution fee at CBIT is 2,00,000/- per year. The hostel fee is around 60,000/- per year. The top companies that visit this college are: Deloitte, Uber, Pega, CapeGemini, Cognizant, OYO Rooms, Infosys, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, etc. The highest pay package goes around 15-20 lakhs per annum and the average goes around 3.5 lakhs per annum. hey!
placements are pretty much the same in both the colleges.
IIITDM gives a computer engineering course which is more on the hardware side. You wont be taught many languages apart from C and C++.But overall you may enjoy it better as the coding environment is better there.
Greetings to you,
IIITDM Kancheepuram is quite a decent college whi.ch was establsihed in 2007 under MHRD. It is one of those not-so old IIITs which are yet to make its mark in the engineering education world. It was ranked 197 in 2019 by NIRF, MHRD which is quite low as per the IIIT standards. If we take placement scenario as an aspect, they have quite average in the past few years. Top recruiters of the nation that provides CTC greater than 15-20 lakhs are still yet to enter the college for placements. Some key recruiters of the college include Wipro, IBM, TCS and TVS Motors. But in case you don't have any other option than IIITDM Kancheepuram, then you can give it a shot as well. Good luck.
Among the two options mentioned above, I would sincerely suggest you to for CSE in MIT, Manipal if you don't have any fees boundary issues. B.Tech in MIT, Manipal costs upto 23-24 lakhs as whole while IIITDM Kancheepuram would barely cost you even half of that amount. But CSE in MIT, Manipal is equal to that of most of the IITs, NITs and IIITs. So if you don't have any fees related issues, please do take a seat in MIT, Manipal in CSE branch. Good luck.
Hello Jhinuk,
IIITDM Kancheepuram's B. Tech Computer Engineering curriculum is modelled on the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) recommendations and is the first of its kind engineering program offered in India. This program is aimed at producing engineers equipped with skills required for efficient hardware-software interaction. In addition to courses offered by the conventional Computer Science curriculum, this novel program offers core courses such as Embedded Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, Simulation and Modelling, Signals and Systems, Product Design etc., that equip the students with both computing and electronics engineering skills that are very much required for the successful creation of products requiring hardware - software interactions. Our graduates would find wide scope in VLSI, Embedded Systems and Electronics Product Manufacturing related industries in addition to application development avenues and higher studies that are open to conventional Computer Science engineers.
The laboratories are equipped with powerful HP Workstations, FUJITSU Windows Server, IBM Debian Linux server and network infrastructure such as the ISDN equipment, network distribution switches, fire- wall and redundant wireless access controller to cater to the computing needs of the institute practice courses. The Institute is also equipped with a personal Super Computer employing 4 Tesla cards giving a peak performance of 4.12 Tflops to assist in the advanced courses on Computer Architecture, Advanced Structure/Algorithms, Database Data Management/Knowledge Engineering and Image Processing. The HCI laboratory houses a powerful image processing workstation with intel x5690 6 core processor with dual monitor support.
Thanku.
Hello Shikhar,
well congratulations, both the courses have their own pros and cons coming to them,of course nit is better than iiit kancheepuram but in iiit as you have mentioned its a dual degree it has its own advantage.
So it totally depends on your intreset whether to do dual degree or not,but you do have a lot of time.According to my knowledge i can suggest you nit allahabad.
Goodluck,
Thankyou.
Hello Aspirant!
You have secured a rank of 90000 in the Joint Entrance Entrance Exam(Mains) conducted by NTA. As you belong to obc category, there are very few chances of getting into IIIT Kancheepuram(for top branches). For knowing more about which other IIITs would fall under your rank range, you can use the JEE MAINS College Predictor.
