Dear Aspirant
First of all Congratulating you that you deserve both of the decent college.
Now I would like to tell you that IIITs are always better than most of govt funded technical institute either in terms of placement or management. IIITs have coding culture far better than any other college.
Good luck for your counselling procedure :)
Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Hi dear,
Hope you are doing well!
Now let's go through your question.
Review:
Placements:
Placement is overall good for all the 3 branches of the B.tech including CSE . Every year almost 75% students get placed in the Multi national companies. Companies come for placement are Infosys, Capital IQ, IBM, Canon, Works Application, Brahmos, OFS, Yodlee, Oracle.
Average Package varies between 7,00,000 to 8,00,000 per year.
Campus:
The campus life is unique in many ways and it is because of college's location. It is located 10 Km away from in Between Airport and Nature Reserve. In winter you can easily spot wild animals in college vicinity.
There are three hostels named Hall1, Hall3 and Hall4. Hall1 is single seater and other two are 3 seaters. Hostels fees is included in the overall fee, you need need to pay anything extra. Hostels are awesome and recently made. IIIT hostels are best among any other central govt institutes.
Thank You & All the best!
Hi Abhishek,
At this rank, you won't be able to get admission in any of the colleges you've mentioned. According to last year:
The closing rank for OBC candidates in IIT Bombay was 13
The closing rank for OBC candidates in IIT Guwahati was 31
The closing rank for OBC candidates in IISTDM Jabalpur was 46
All the best
Hello,
Join NIT Calicut. NIT has high value than IIITs. They are old and reputed colleges and most companies visit NIT after IIT. You can go for IIIT if you are interested. NIT is a good option and smart to choose as you are selected for CSE branch and its NIT which defines itself. Your career depends in your skills but your skills will be more recognised if you completed your graducation from a government reputed college.
Hope it helps!
Hi Candidate! To decide which college is better we have to compare in many aspects like location, fees, placements, etc. And you want to know through placements aspects. Let me tell you iiit guhwati is better than iiit kancheepuram in Placements. As in iiit guhwati there are peoples who land upto 24L packages per annum. But frankly speaking here people are much fond of researching rather than getting placed. And the average package in iiit kancheepuram is 3 lakh per annum and the highest package is 9 lakh per annum.
So iiit guhwati is better in terms of Placements.
Hope it helps you.
Thanks.
It's free of cost .
You only have to pay for hostels which may be 20 thousand per year .
As per central government institutions including iits nits and IIITs give free education to sc st

Hello Jhinuk Bhattacharya,
Greetings to you,
Among the two options mentioned above, I would sincerely suggest you to for CSE in MIT, Manipal if you don't have any fees boundary issues. B.Tech in MIT, Manipal costs upto 23-24 lakhs as whole while IIITDM Kancheepuram would barely cost you even half of that amount. But CSE in MIT, Manipal is equal to that of most of the IITs, NITs and IIITs. So if you don't have any fees related issues, please do take a seat in MIT, Manipal in CSE branch.
