Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Kancheepuram
See if you want to enjoy an urban life with very good placements after you pass out and awesome internships, then IIIT Delhi is the way to go. The only demerit is that fees of IIIT Delhi is very high for a normal middle class person, but if you take an education loan, then paying it off will be very easy as you'll be earning very handsomely after it.
But if you want the same good facilities with less fees, the NIT Calicut is a very good option due to it's reputation in the industry.

Arrangements are not exactly perfect in IIIT Kancheepuram. But I would suggest this school provided that you need to seek after your higher examinations(Ph.D. and so forth). Since Almost every one of the teachers is from IITM, you will have an astonishing encounter learning stuff. However, over the years placements are improving on campus. Out of 273 understudies who enrolled for IIIT Kancheepuram positions 2020-21, 183 have been effectively positioned. Software Engineering arose as the unmistakable area with 34 position offers. The middle bundle offered was INR 6.5 - INR 7.5 LPA, contingent on the program.
I don't think this notion is at all valid. The employment region for the Data Science course is quite large and if you wish you can do amazing researches in advanced topics such as Neural Networks, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics etc. So it don't implies that being a BTech in Data Science student, you are approaching any mistake. Apart from this I don't think society is that much aware about the Data Science until and unless they are some what aware about the modern day technology and industries. So don't bother with society and just focus on your interest. If you are interested, just go for it.
You can also go for the BTech CSE specialization in Data Science, this course also have quite a good value in Industry & this course will provide you a broad background in CSE.

From 2016, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Physical Sciences at IIITDM Kancheepuram has been offering a new programme called Smart Manufacturing.
Given the new course, the work opportunities available are not yet up to par.
The number of placement possibilities available is limited. I'm not sure what students' intentions are, but I'm guessing they'll pursue further education and find an off-campus employment for the time being.
Hope this helps
