Hello Aspirant,
This institution does not provide fee concession. But it does give these kinds of scholarships which are open for all.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship(MCM)
One-fourth of desirable B.Tech students can earn the assistance of INR 1000 each month and are also free from tuition fees.
Institute free Studentship (IFS)
One-tenth of suitable B.Tech students will not pay tuition fees.
NSP Scholarship- you are eligible for this scholarship if your score is higher than the 80th percentile of toppers of your senior secondary school exam.
You are suitable to apply for all these scholarships but you can avail only one of these.
This an establishment organized in 2007 by the Government of our country to seek design and manufacturing trained engineering pedagogy, study and to stimulate the benefit of our products in national markets.
It was announced as an Institute of National Importance (INI) by the MHRD and became the primary institution of this type to be given this status.
The university enlists a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Dual degrees in numerous technological fields.
Admission to the undergraduate programs is based on All India Rank (AIR) in JEE-Main.
The institute also offers M.Des and M.Tech (PG) programs as well as Ph.D. programs. I hope it helps.
Thank you.
From 2016, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Physical Sciences at IIITDM Kancheepuram has been offering a new programme called Smart Manufacturing.
Given the new course, the work opportunities available are not yet up to par.
The number of placement possibilities available is limited. I'm not sure what students' intentions are, but I'm guessing they'll pursue further education and find an off-campus employment for the time being.
Hope this helps
Dear aspirant,
If you were to take my opinion then I would recommend you to take nit nagpur metallurgy because of certain reasons:-
1- First of all nit nagpur metallurgy branch has strong placements . It has an average package of 6.5 L and companies like vedanta, Tata group, jindal steel and more visit for recruitment.
2- In terms of faculty , metallurgy department is not so bad and also not so good but they are supportive.
3-The Infrastructure is very good and it has a library where you can explore anything.

Comparing Placement of IIIT Kottayam with other new iiits will give a brief idea of how IIIT Kottayam stands superior among others. 2019 was the first year when IIIT Kottayam saw its first placement. Institute had good companies coming forward to recruit them. Some of them where NISSAN ,L&T, Reliance(JIO) and many more startups. Good companies like NISSAN offered package starting from 6 Lakh to 10 Lakh. Which is brilliant when seeing the first placement year of Institute. Whereas other new iiits did not saw this type of offers in their first year. So comparing the current scenario one can expect that the placement to be as good as old nits in coming 2–3 years. It is a well deserving institute for candidates securing rank between 5000 to 15000.
Most important point is that no other new iiits have got their permanent campus except few. But IIIT Kottayam have got its campus from 2018–2019 session, again beating other new iits
If any more query feel free to ask
Dear candidate out of IIIT Kancheepuram and IIIT Sricity, both are renowned institutions. However if you think of the stream, only if you have profound interest in Electrical Devices, Electrical Circuits then only choose ECE or Computer Science Engineering is a very interesting branch and Placements are often more satisfactory. Hope it helps to choose!!
Good luck!!
HI
The objectives of the program are to train workforce catering to needs of 21st century manufacturing industries which are increasing becoming smart and connected. The curriculum for the program has been carefully crafted by conducting many brainstorming sessions with Industry and Academic leaders in Manufacturing. The courses for the program are interdisciplinary in nature. Smart Manufacturing is amalgamation Information technology, Networks, Data Science and sensors for adaptive control and managing the manufacturing enterprises.
Now, if you wish to take this branch solely for placement purposes, it might not be a good idea because according to peer reviews there are no many placements and no official statistics have been provided. Furthermore, this branch is only in selective IIITs, i.e. two and will have smaller knowledge base and alumni connection which may not work for placement drives.
If you have a genuine interest towards the field then you should surely go for it
Good Luck

Hi,
NIT T chemical engineering can be your choice according to my opinion, In chem, electrochemistry has got more opportunities. Learn some computer subjects. learn extra electrochemistry, only then you can get fantastic opportunities. But if you have some interest in CSE IIITDM Kanchipuram CSE can be your next choice. It has got super opportunities, faculties are with PhD from iitdm anyday CSE dept has full placement opportunities.
Now a days in my opinion you should go for NIT Trichy Chemical Engineering, this will be best for you in terms of placements, scopes and most of everything you want.
Hope this helps. All the Best..
Dear Student,
For Computer Science Engineering(CSE), I will suggest you to go for IIIT Kancheepuram instead of IIIT Kottayam
Also, in IIIT kanchepuram ,tamilnadu The fee structure of this college is 5.25 lakhs, infrastructure of this college is too good.coming to placements, the highest salary package was 51 LPA and average salary package was above 5 LPA. faculty of this college is too good.
Also, please choose between CSE and ECE as per your area of interest as both the fields are having great scope. Rest is your call. So, choose wisely.
Hope this sorted your query.
Good Luck :)
