You should go for MIT in my opinion. CSE in MIT is brimming with challenges like hackathon which improves your programming skills. There is a very good startup culture in Manipal because of the presence of business incubators.

Indian Institute Of Information Technology, Design And Manufacturing (IIITDM Kancheepuram) was established in 2007 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. IIITDM is located in Kancheepuram, Chennai.  IIITDM has been approved by AICTE. IIITDM Kancheepuram offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs which focus on IT, design and manufacturing in engineering sectors.

The institute is growing and also is its publicity. The speciality is the design based curriculum which has been implemented only by few colleges across India. To describe “design based” in short, it is the ability to develop products which are more efficient in terms of use, cost, etc

1. Faculty:
   The faculty here are mostly PhD Scholars from IITs. They have good experience in teaching and they work hard as much as the students do to give the students as much exposure as they could. The way they set their question papers show that they are not interested in testing your memory power rather they focus on what you could produce out of what you have learnt.
2. Syllabus:
   The first point to note is that the course offered here is “Computer Engineering” but not “Computer Science & Engineering”. There is not much of a difference but yet there is a twist. The main focus here is on design-centric learning. There are only few colleges across India which are following this. So, for this, you also get to learn a pinch of mechanical and electronic engineering but only as much as you need. There are special design based courses that are included in the syllabus that give you the best basement for becoming an engineer.
3. Coding peer-group:
   You will find a healthy competition among the students here. The continuous assessment procedure here keeps you engaged the whole time in the campus on interesting ways in coding. The assignments and projects are group based which elevate the coding skills of the group together and also group involvement skills in every individual.
4. Examination style:
   Coding examinations here take a day long i.e, approximately 8–9 hours. You are given timely breaks along with lunch. You are allowed to discuss with our peers in the examination if you have a doubt in any code snippet. You will be provided with internet all along the examination time so that you can take any code snippet you want from the internet so that you don’t waste your time in typing small codes and thinking of the algorithm. But yes, the main essence is to find and code the whole algorithm which you cannot find anywhere on the internet. This tell you the level of the examinations held here.

Placements: The placements are improving yearly and because of the design curriculum is attracting many reputed companies. A good student in pace can get a reasonable placement. I am also pasting the link of the institute’s placements page.

The curriculum that you have now looks promising, I think you don’t need to worry too much & focus on just understanding all the courses, score good grades & enjoy the college life mate!!

According to the website of IIITDM Kancheepuram, around 37 companies visited the college and the maximum package last year was 20lakhs. Average CTC was 5-6 lakhs.

According to the website of IIITDM Jabalpur, around 35 companies visited the college and the maximum package last year was 37lakhs. Average CTC was 7.64 lakhs.

Overall IIITDM Jabalpur is a bit better than IIITDM Kancheepuram. 4-5 years down the line I think both will have almost similar stats.So, It's up to you to decide.

IIIT Guwahati and IIIT Kancheepuram are both highly esteemed and prestigious universities that are sought after by aspiring students.
There really isn't much difference between these two as they are the same institute only in different locations.
The faculty in both are highly experienced and punctual, the infrastructure is good in both, the placements are provided to the students, internships are also provided by the college to the students.
IIIT Kancheepuram was set up in 2007 whereas IIIT Guwahati was set up in 2013 so this gives IIIT Kancheepuram an advantage as it already has a well-established reputation among companies which attracts more of them to offer jobs to the students. 
Both are equally good institutes and you need to decide which one is better for you based on location and facilities that you want.

To decide on which college is better you can compare both the colleges according to their facilities and decide which one you would prefer based on factors such as place suitability, the environment, which place has better facilities than the other and which ones suit you in a generalised way. In case of IIIT KANCHEEPURAM -

• Fee structure is feasible for all students. SC and ST students are exempted from paying their Semester fees. Scholarships are awarded to the students whose income is less than 4.5L per annum. 

• the placements are good as many companies visit the colleges every year and provide good job and salary packages to students. The average salary package is about 3 Lakh per annum and it may shoot up to a high package of 9 Lakh per annum as well. Companies like TCS, Ashoka Leyland, etc, visit the colleges to provide placements. 

• the faculty is good and most of them hold doctorates from many prestigious institutions. They are very much involved with the students and take interest in teaching. They don't miss classes and have apt knowledge in their field of education. They are very friendly and helpful in providing assistance to students whenever they face any problems. 

• the campus life is good and students interact well. There is an array of different cultures hence every festival is celebrated grandly. There are many workshops organised and students take part in them.

• The campus curriculum is very good with it consisting of electronics, computer and mechanics. This allows the students to learn in a way to solve problems father in their careers as well. 

• internships for summer and winter is provided by the college to the students. Students can apply for the internships and do their projects alongside. The stipend is usually dependent on the projects and the work and is provided only to those who have successfully completed their internships. 

• the college holds a large scale techno-cultural fest which allows students to enjoy and interact with each other. Festivals are also celebrated in the college grandly. Scholarships are provided to students on merit and also on cases of them being finanacially backward. 

IIIT GUWAHATI -

• the college has its own placement cell. Students who have completed their course from the college after 4 years and have passed their examinations, become eligible for placements and are provided with placements during the placement process. 

• the curriculum activities depend on the students and their interests. If a student wants to pursue a talent they might take it further and will in turn be provided with assistance from the college. The faculty is helpful and qualified post graduates with apt knowledge in their fields of education. 

• the college organised various fests including sports fests, technical and cultural fests in which students may take part and enjoy themselves.they may also take part in competitions organised and showcase their talents. 

You can compare the two colleges and choose which one best suits you.

• internships are provided by the college in different companies. The students have industrial training as a part of their course curriculum where they might opt to work at companies during their course and that experience is counted towards the grade point.

IIITs are government colleges and are in great demand for admission because of their facilities and resources, and at the same time Anna university is well renowned University with an excellent record. But you should definitely choose IIIT Kancheepuram over CEG, because the facilities are better... You can still research and choose. But my advice IIIT Kancheepuram. All the best!

Hi Noah, IIITDM Kancheepuram is better. The fees is less and the placements of this college are good. Recruiting companies are also of top level. IITDM Kancheepuram:

Fees: 64,375 for a period of 4years. If you opt for hostel there will be an additional cost of 24,700. (Please note that SC/ST students are exempted from the payment of tution fees).

Placements: The top recruiters are HCL, L&T, Saint-Gobain, Apollo Tyres, CTS etc. The highest package 10.5lpa which is offered by Paypal. The lowest package goes to 3.08. The avarage package varies between 4.5lpa to 5lpa.

Amrita, Coimbatore:

Fees: There are some scholarship fees and seats available to those who scored the desired marks. Those who scored above 90%, the number of seats allocated to them is 51, they have to pay 30,000/- annually. Those 51 students who have scored 75% they need to pay 75,000/- annually. Those 102 students who have scored50% they need to pay 150,000/- annually.  For the rest 663 remaining seats the payment to be done is 300,000.-.

Placements: The top recruiters are FIITJEE, TCS, Huawei, Mahindra&Mahindra, Berger Paints, EY India, Hinduja Global Services, Sonata, HP, L&T etc. The minimum salary goes to 3lpa. The highest salary goes to 23.45lpa. The average salary is 4.2lpa.
