Indian Institute of Management Calcutta
Hi
I think the conventional masters programs are not run by these institutions. You can either go for a diploma or integrated 5 years course.
Another option would be to browse some more good colleges from where you an go for your masters in mass communication. My friend has pursued MA from Mass. co. from Lovely Professional University and has done good by being campus placed by ANI.
So browse some good sites like Lady Sri Ram College, New Delhi, Loyola College, Chennai, Lovely Professional University etc.
Hope my answer was a help!!!!
Hi Harshit
Well when it comes to iimc, it is one of the best institutes in the world for mass communication and indeed the best in India. So, admission procedures are not gonna be easy, right. so first you will have to decide what course do you want to pursue. there are various courses in the institute, like hindi journalism, english journalism, ad and pr etc. So admission procedures are simple. firstly, you will have to give a written exam. if you clear that you will be called for interview and then admission.
Iimc entrance is based on 2 types of evaluation.
If selected for the written, students will be called for interview. The interview ranges from general questions about world politics. Sometimes it may deviate into things like “what are your hobbies?” Questions about uour graduation course is usually asked. One must be able to relate that with journalism.
TIP- Be confident, read a lot of newspapers and magazines. Avoid any kind of coaching centres please. Everything is basic study. Go for it.

Hello. To get into IIM Calcutta, one must appear for the CAT exam. Based on your CAT score, they will call you for the interviews. In the interview, you can explain why you failed.
My advice is to prepare hard for the CAT examination and score as high as possible.
Hope you get a seat in IIM Calcutta.
All the best.
Hello, I understand that you are interested to get into the prestigious IIMs. As I can see, you are eligible for IIMs. However, you will need to clear the CAT cut offs to be able to get the final interview call. You can check out the detailed eligibility criteria for admission in IIMs in this link. https://bschool.careers360.com/articles/iim-admission-criteria
Dear Subham,
First of all, I would like to tell you that IIM Calcutta accepts CAT exam score and they have certain cut off for each category, for the general category, it is 90 percentile. Any college accepting CAT score whether it is an IIM college or any other has basic criteria of cut off percentage for graduation, 12th, and 10th. For graduation, it is 50% minimum to even appear for CAT exam. Since you qualify the basic criteria hence you are eligible for MBA in finance and accounting in IIM Calcutta (you choose your specialization in the second year of the program)
But keep this in mind that IIM Calcutta comes in the first tier of colleges which makes it difficult to get admission. Since your graduation marks are not that great so to even get a call from IIM Calcutta for the interview you need to get excellent percentile in CAT i.e much more than 90 percentile and improve overall profile if it is possible.
I hope this answer solves your query.
