I scored 62 percentage in 12 7.4 cgpa in 10 and 66 percentage in graduation and 99 percentile in cat . can I get admission in iim Calcutta or iim lukhnow

What should I fill in "year of passing" in 12th field in CAT form 2020 if I passed 12th in 2016 and appeared for Improvement in all subjects in 2017 ? Also I have improved my percentage so which marks should I enter? Please Help. Remember I passed all my subjects in 2016.

Dear student,

It is a tricky situation but the answer is simple. You passed the senior secondary exam in the year of 2016 so you should mention 2016 as the year of passing. You are saying that you secured more percentage in improvement, then you can mention the improved grades

which is better to choose among NSEC kolkata, ILEAD kolkata, MSIT kolkata, TINT newtown, NIMAS barasat, NSHM kolkata, MAKAUT in-house for non-engeenering specially for bsc data science and cyber security? in terms of placement, education,learnings, high qualified and friendly faculties?

Hey Dear,

You can either choose NSEC Kolkata & MAKAUT in house for non Engineering Speciallly for b.sc data Science & Cyber security. MAKAUT is an Top university of West Bengal. You can also go for Makaut University. Decision is yours.

my 10th 12th grad sccores are 86,82,57. I am an maths graduate from presidency UNIVERSITY.I am an SC student.I have been preparing for UPSC for last 2 and half years. BUT I cant crack it. SO I want to give CAT this year. HOW much percentile I have to get to get IIM CALCUTTA. please help me

Hello,

Your marks are quiet good. As you belong to SC category, it will give you an advantage to clear CAT as the cutoff is less for SC/ST category. However for IIM Calcutta, the cutoffs of previous years papers were 70 percentile for SC category. But remember cutoffs do vary

Only academic scores are not enough to crack IIMs. You have to obtain qualifying percentile in CAT to get admission in IIM C or IIM I . Your academic scores are quite good. In simple terms, IIMs give a certain weightage to each score along with CAT Percentile,

If we have a concluded comparison then I would say IIM Kolkata is quite better than IIM Bangalore  there might be various reasons but it may vary according to you what you actually want to have from these institutes if you have already selected in any of the one

I scored 91% in 10th, 82% in 12th and I have passed out b.tech graduation with 59% (in 2019). Right now I dont have any work experience and I am planning to write CAT in Nov 2020. Is it possible to get into top MBA colleges with above credentials.

Yes you are eligible for pursuing MBA. The eligibility criteria for MBA is to have graduation degree with minimum 50% score.

Admission to MBA depends on the entrance exam score. Graduation percentage is considered to fulfill eligibility criteria.
