Indian Institute of Management
Hi Tanvi,
I understand that you have scored 86% in your class 10th and 95% in class 12 but have scored a graduation percentage of 15.5% and that you are inquiring about the score that you need to to achieve in order to get a call from Indian Institute of Management and so to answer your question you need to get a percentile of at least 99% otherwise you won't get a call from any IIM whatsoever and also be informed that since you have less percentage in your graduation marks does there is a chance that you might not get a call from the I am due to this fact.
Best wishes!

XAT is not accepted by IIMs. IIMs conduct their own exam which is CAT which will be conducted by IIM Kozhikode this year. XAT is conducted by XLRI and its score is accepted in all the Jesuit colleges in India as well as some other colleges like
For IIMs you'll have to score a minimum of 90 percentile and have to have a good academic profile.
All the very best
Hi Seema,
Yes, you can definitely go for higher studies with a KT in 5th sem as generally the KT are not shown on final marksheet. Moreover, even if during an interview they find out about your KT be prepared with an upto the mark answer justifying the reason for your KT. A good percentile in CAT follwoed by good interviews can easily get you through an IIM for MBA.
Hope this helps. All the best.
Hi,
There are many scholarships available in IIMs. There are some college sponsored scholarships and there are some Corporate scholarships too which are based either on merit or need basis. Some are company specific and based on their specific criteria which you need to fulfill to avail the benefit.
Thankyou!
Hello Seema,
Yes. For all IIMs, the fee displayed on the website includes hostel and Mess fee. IIM's offer you a partial to full tuition waiver based on your family income. You can apply for this financial aid when you start college if you are eligible for it. The tuition fee can be anywhere around 15-16 lakhs. And for other facilities, you will have to pay more depending upon the expenses. Also, it is compulsory to stay at the college hostel for every student.
Hope this helps, Good luck!
Both courses are equally good. Moreover you can choose any of them suiting your interests. But in MBA if you are planning to take marketing then you should go for Bcom hons marketing because then you'll already have some ideas about the subject. Apart from that MBA colleges will teach you everything from the scratch.
Hello Aspirant,
The admission in IIMs are not based only on CAT percentile, Apart from this you require overall a good profile like your academic score, Extra Curricular Activities etc.
IIM admission is three tier process. In the first you will be shortlisted on the basis of CAT exam score & percentile which varies to each IIMs. In second shortlisted candidate will be called for WAT/ PI rounds and third & final round the candidates who clear the second round on the basis of all the rounds performance like CAT score, Academic Score, Work Experience etc. & the performance in the interview/WAT/GD.
Each IIM has different procedure or policy for the admission. As per the Cutoff of the exam, For Old IIMs you require more than 98 percentile & for new IIMs you require more than 95 percentile.
Good Luck!
