Hi sir Im in std 11com i want to get admission in iim so how can I prepare for bba & ahemdabad imm provide bba course??

Nafisa Turabi 2nd Dec, 2018

Hi Soni,

Admissions in IIM Ahmedabad is based on your percentile score in CAT entrance exam for which you can prepare during your undergraduate course. Try to maintain a good CGPA throughout your undergraduation as it is also included in the admission process. For now you can concentrate on your 11th and 12th.

My best wishes for your future and upcoming exams.

Regards,

Nafisa.

Prepare for CAT.
Build a strong profile as IIMs will not accept you just based on a CAT score.
Finish your UG degree with as high scores as you can.
Do relevant internships, projects etc.

What is the eligibility criteria to get iim colleges

Rohit Roy 29th Oct, 2018
Hi Aspirant,
The most basic eligibility criteria to appear for CAT is that you need to have a graduate degree or you must be in the final year of graduation.
Also, you must score more than 50% marks.
As far as IIM's are concerned, each and every IIM has its different set of cutoff and requirement set.
Try to score very high marks in CAT which shall prove to be the deciding factor.
Hope this helps.

How to get into IIM after pursuing BTech? What are the exams through which we can get into IIMs and their eligibility criteria?

v neeraja 26th Oct, 2018

Hi Shashank,

There are various Management entrance exams that you can take to get into top B Schools in India. However to get into IIMs, only CAT exam is accepted. This exam is conducted for entrance into all the IIMs. It comprises of three sections - Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Ability. You need to clear all there sectionals to get a shortlist for GD-PI.

Every year CAT notification is released in 1st week of August. Then by 1st Week of October the application deadline closes and the exam is conducted in the last week of November. So keep an eye on these timelines and apply accordingly. Only students who are in the final year of graduation or have completed graduation are allowed to apply for this.

All the best.

What is the eligibility criteria for the post of assistant professor of MBA in IIM and how can I apply for it?

Sudeshna Dutta 2nd Oct, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing well.

Ph.D. or equivalent in relevant field with first class or similar qualification is the bare minimum requirement for all faculty jobs (in terms of grades, etc.). Applicants must have received a first-class or 60 percent on their master's degree or equivalent qualifying examinations, as well as a very strong academic record throughout their undergraduate and graduate studies.

In addition, for the following reasons:

Having a minimum of ten years of teaching/research/industrial experience, of which at least four years should have been at the level of Associate Professor in IITs, IIMs, IISc Bangalore, NITIE Mumbai, and IISERs, or at an equivalent level in any other Indian or foreign institution/institutions of comparable standards, is required for the position of Professor.

As an Associate Professor, you must have a minimum of 6 years of teaching/research/industrial experience, with at least 3 of those years being at the Assistant Professor or equivalent level.

Assistant Professor: A minimum of three years of teaching, research, or industry experience is required for this position (excluding however the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D). Candidates who have received their Ph.D. from prestigious institutions, on the other hand, may be exempt from the three-year work experience requirement on a case-by-case basis, depending on their academic qualifications. Candidates may be given a one-year contract job as a Visiting Assistant Professor or a Lecturer position based on their qualifications and experience.

Hope you got the answer to your question. Incase of any queries, feel free to question. Have a great day!

Students who got merit in CAT and placed in iim or iit should also pay fee or they get reimbursement, scholarships..??

Monika Shruti Gupta 6th Sep, 2018
Hello Raaj,
Anyone and everyone who gets finally selected in an IIM has to pay the fees. There's no merit list as such for IIMs.
You get calls for GD-PI-WAT based on your percentile, and call from one IIM doesn't guarantee call from the other IIM too and even a percentile of 99+ doesn't guarantee a call from creme IIMs. All IIMs run their admission processes autonomously and there isn't a common counseling where you can go, submit your documents, give interview and wait for merit list.
For every individual IIM that gives you a call ( based on your percentile, past academic performance and other suitable parameters) you have to go through their individual processes. And then, each IIM will declare its own result, which again won't declare your rank. Either congratulate you upon your selection or give you a waiting list number for future.

And then, none provide scholarships upon entrance or admission itself.
Though, you have options of scholarships once admitted.
Scholarships based on income level of family and categories are offered by government for students pursuing higher educations in IIMs.
Then there are scholarships provided by companies like ABG based on your excellent performance in CAT and academics. ABG scholarship is released right 2-3 weeks after you join.

Hope this help.
All the best!!
