My date of birth is 9/1/1995. Will i be able to take admission in iisc ug after clearing jee mains or jee advanced in 2020?

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 3rd Sep, 2019

Hello,

If you have cleared your 12th in the year 2018/2019 or appearing this year then yes you can appear for JEE Mains.

So check the eligibilty criteria for that.

for taking an admission at IISc you have to clear JEE Advance. Using jee main you can go for NITs,GFITS. or other state government or private colleges.

It totally depends on how you score in both the jee exams.

Hope it helps!

Yash Dev Student Expert 1st Sep, 2019
Hello student Aerospace engineers and mechanical engineers both work on the development and construction of equipment and devices. However, the field of aerospace engineering is more narrow than MechanicalEngineering , focusing on airplanes and other aerospace-related machines.

Feel free to comment if you have any doubt

2year dropper are facing lots of problems during btech placement?

Sriya Bose Student Expert 1st Sep, 2019
Hello Aspirant!

Dropping a year or two doesn't  really have any effect on job placements, especially, after B.Tech. Also, the type of college also doesn't really have much effect on job placements. What really matters is your academic performance in your course. Companies prefer to take top rankers of a particular college rather than back rankers of top ranking colleges.

What is eligibleity of iisc & no of attemp

Ankhi Banerjee 28th Aug, 2019

Hi,

The eligibility criteria for pursuing bachelor of science in IISC requires candidates to pass their 10+2 level in that year or the previous year. Also students appearing in class 12 boards whose result is not declared yet can also apply. They should also secure 60% marks from science stream with PCM. Students who have studied biology, electronics, statistics, computer science etc. alongwith PCM are also eligible.

As such there is no number of attempts stated by IISc.

I want to pursue teaching. Can I pursue teaching after IISER OR IISC ?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 25th Aug, 2019
Hello there!

Greetings!

If you are someone who loves science and Research then iiser is the best for you . IISERs offer the best training in basic sciences and unparalleled exposure to advanced analytical techniques, the fact that these Institutes are relatively new is the main reason for the lack of awareness about their existence. After doing a PhD, post your BS-MS course, you can join any CSIR labs or University or research lab as a staff scientist or principal investigator.
If you want to teach in future,  even then iiser is good for you , After completing your BS-MS, you can teach at coaching classes like FIT JEE, etc. This is considered a lucrative job as the pay packages are good.  Teaching job in any school/University after qualifying the requisite exams like UPSC, B. Ed, NET, etc.
Thankyou
