I hope it helps!!
As far as I know, IISc does not offer MSc courses, as such. It instead offers integrated PhD courses.
However, there probably aren’t int PhD courses in geology; there might be, check their websites. CEaS (Centre for Earth Sciences) does, however, offer MSc (engineering) courses.
Dear candidate,
This depends on the institute and the program that a candidate applied to.Generally students with a rank upto 500 in GATE are in a good position to do well in the technical interview at the IITs/IISc /NITs.
Hope I answer your question and it's helpful.
All the best!
The written test will be of 1 hour and 30 minutes Questions will be mostly from the GATE ECE syllabus, having a focus on Digital/Analog circuits, Semiconductor devices & its physics, Mathematics, etc. Written test will be subjective in nature and will be designed to test your (i) real-world problem-solving ability, (ii) approach to analyze & solve engineering problems, (iii) general aptitude and (iv) scientific aptitude.
Only those who clear the written test will be called for interviews on April 24th & 25th, 2019.

Hello
Less than 800 generally. I know one of my friends from Computer Science who ranked 900–1000, he could not get IIT .
It also depends on how many candidates are appearing in GATE on a specific subject i.e. GATE SCORE.
It also depends on which IIT you are targeting. You have to rank within 50 for Computer Science IISC. If you target IIT ROORKEE for civil, then your target must be 150–200. But with rank 200, you may not get admission in other IIT/IISC in Computer Science.
That is what I think.
Give Gate examination get a good rank. After gate results apply at IISC in the courses of your choices.prepare for interview and do well in it and you are through to IISC.
let me know in the comment box if you are having any further doubts
hope you find it helpful
thansk
Good Luck!
