Mounika Vellalacheruvu 30th Jan, 2019

Hi Kishan....

Yes,The admission into IISC is based on the marks u get in JEE Mains & JE Advanced.

The board sets the cutoff for different exams category and branch wise. So,If you get above the cutoff you have a maximum chance of getting into that college.

Kindly check the following link for previous years cutoff trend for IISC.

Is 60 percentage of marks or 600 marks in NEET the eligibility to apply for BSc course in IISC ?? Does it have to do anything with rank ??

Amita Jain 29th Jan, 2019

Dear Meenakshi,

First and foremost, let me state that IISc Bangalore is a fine choice of institution, especially if you have a disposition towards a career in scientific research (which is very much in demand).

Coming to eligibility, with 60% in 10+2 and PCM as your subjects, you can opt for the bachelors degree in IISc. Further to that, NEET UG marks and rank will be used for selecting among aspirants for the admission. There is no minimum marks stated by the IISc Bangalore in NEET. I believe the admissions will be done on the basis of merit (based on your marks and rank in NEET as compared to other candidates).

Aside from appearing in NEET 2019, you will also have to fill the online applications for IIScB. The applications will begin from February 2019 onwards. They are likely to remain open till April end of 2019. The application fee would range like this- Rs. 500/- for GN/OBC/KM candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD categories.

Track more information about the same at https://www.iisc.ac.in/ug/

Hope it helps.

All the best!

Im a b.tech ece graduate i want to do m.tech in aerospace from iisc banglore..can any one suggest me tips to crack it..

Deepshikha Student Expert 29th Jan, 2019
Hey,
IISC is the top most  institute of our country and getting admission here  is an achievement in itself.Especially for fields like Aerospace,IISC provides an amazing flavour that you can utilise to hone your skills and satiate your passion for constructing and designing aircrafts and it also prepares you for amazing placements.
To be honest making it to IISC is not at all easy. You got to score really well in GATE.Getting 'good' score in GATE will get you nothing. You got to be atleast within 50 or so.So try to give your best in GATE.
Best of luck!

I got 76 percentile and im pwd what rank i will get and i will get seat for nit trichy or can i try iisc bangalore?

rajaman9300 Student Expert 26th Jan, 2019

Hello Ram Sundar

To be honest it will be difficult to get NIT trichy in 76 percentile no matter the PWD reservation. But still you can try the next phase exam and try to improve your percentile.

Now coming to IISC, yes you can Get adm. in IISC without JEE advance. But for that you have to clear kvpy exam.
