Can I get into iist through JEE advance with 15400 rank. General category

Last year cutoff for jee advanced in IIST trivandrum was as follow 

General 52.19 ( avionics)

OBC 42.07( avionics)

SC  27.05( avionics)

This marks are based on jee advanced,  written test and interview calls.

So you can apply for it.

Hi ! To get admission in IIST tiruvanthapuram, you need to apply seperately for it because this institute does not take part in centralised counselling. But probably you might not get it being a premier institute they demand good rank. In IIST tiruvanthapuram, apply seperately and then wait for the

IIST offers admission in 4 yrs UG and 5yrs integrated dual degrees programmes on the basis of performance in JEE adv .
A Gen can must score 75% in 12th board exam and 60% in JEE adv to get shortlisted in admission process .

Brother, though it would be easier for me to decide if you had told your CRL rank. As EWS, being implemented for first time, it would be difficult for anyone to decide.

Though, from the past analysis, IESR takes students who rank (CRL) below 10k in GEN and OBC.

You have got excellent marks in jee mains but unfortunately you need to at least qualify JEE advanced to be eligible for admission in IIST. 

You definitely have the potential so I suggest either you take admission in NIT as you will definitely get a great nit seat or take

I am sorry to say that with your current rank in JEE Adv 2019, it is not possible for you to get any IIT or IIST.

Hello,
With this marks in JEE advanced you can definitely not get a seat in IIST. Even if you are from reservation category you won't be of any help. With this marks you won't get a seat in any government colleges through JEE advanced.

Sorry to say that you cannot get iist with 71 marks


Assuming this year JEE advanced was slightly tougher  than last year 

So the cutoffs according to previous year statistics

For OBC category

Aerospace is 29  percentof total marks 

Ece is 27 percent 

Engineering physics is 25 percent

To get into Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology Thiruvananthapuram, you should qualify in JEE Advanced. Qualifying means you should have minimum of ten percentage in each subject and thirty five in all subjects together. It is the qualification for General category.
