IIST admits students based on their JEE advanced scores/ranks.You have to appear for  JEE advanced and clear it and secure a rank in top 10k to be assured of securing admission on IIST. After JEE advanced result is declared you need to apply on their official website a separate merit list is prepared based on the applications received and according to I admissions are done.

You also know how unpredictable JEE Advanced is. So, we can't basically judge according to marks but in my experience you must try to score above or about 60%. That would surely work. As if we take a lok on the past year's trends:

Aerospace : 64%

Avionics : 60%

Dual Degree : 60%

• The first option is that if you get a CGPA of 7.5 or higher the you are eligible to get a job in ISRO subject to the availability of vacancies. If you get a job and then decide no to take it then you have to pay 10 lakhs according to bond that you sign while joining.
• There are industry-related jobs especially in Electronics. Besides you could apply to HAL, DRDO , Brahmos etc.
