i had p,c,m,hindi, english in 12th . am i eligible to get into iist aerospace engineering

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 30th Dec, 2018
Dear Ravi, the educational eligibility criteria for IIST Aerospace Engineering is that if you are from General Category, you should have atleast scored 75% aggregate in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and a language and any other subject. For SC/ST candidates it is 65%. You should clear JEE Advanced exam for being eligible for IIST. If you are from General Category, then you should score atleast 20% marks in JEE Advanced i.e 72/360 and atleast 6/120 in each of 3 subjects. For OBC-NCL, it is 65/360 and 5/120. For SC/ST/PWD it is 36/360 and 3/120.

If I have not 75% in 12th but top 20 percentile then I can take admission in iist?

Vikas gehlot 28th Dec, 2018

If you go through the eligibility criteria then in the eligibility criteria they made  it clear that a candidate belonging to general OBC category must have 75% mark in 12th which include subjects physics chemistry mathematics one language and one any other subject therefore there is no such rule on top 20 percentile so to able to get admission into IISC you must score 75% in class 12th.

How much marks get to find it In jee mains/advanced

Heena Gagwani 25th Dec, 2018

You must get how much ever marks you can to score your best.

Last year the cut off for JEE Mains was 74 on 360. But for getting admission in NITs, IIITs or GFTIs across India one must achieve above 180.

For getting admission in IITs across India one must clear JEE Mains along with securing high rank in JEE Advance to get branch of your choice.
