hello avneet
mathematics and computing is a new branch but a branch in great demand. It is a tough branch but has a lot of scope so you will be allowed to sit in placements in cse companies for jobs of data analyst so you can definitely have a look into the syllabus of the branch and opt for computing at iit ropar
all the best
See as the choices you have given , it's like chosing between Bugatti, Bentley, BBT. All three are great.
It's you who have to decide which branch is best for you. In between IIT Guwahati and IIT BHU ,i would prefer IIT Guwahati electronics as IIT Guwahati is among the old IIT's , so neglecting the infrastructure, what i see is that the placements and other factors are better than that of IIT BHU.
Now Between IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee , IIT Roorkee has a slightly upper hand But it is almost same. So you have to decide . If you prefer Mechanical then IITR Mech.>IITG Electronics>IIT BHU Electronics. Else just reverse the first two. This is what i think.
TThank you.

thank you.
Hi Ankit!
Without, interest if you are looking to pick a course by only looking at the placements.
Then,i suggest you pick IIT BHU electronics cause even though it is a hard course, the demand for Electronics engineers are on the rise and will ofter you a fatter salary.
Wheras, Mechanical engineers often look to pursue a higher degree after UG to secure a job with high pay.
first of all let it be clear that whether iit bhu has msc physics program or not . actually bhu has msc physics program and not iit bhu ,both are not same . doing msc from any iit is a very good option but if you want to study physics from bhu then its level is same as any other central university . du is better than bhu .
Hello student,
With the options which you have mentioned above, for CSE branch it will be the best option for you to choose IIT BHU (Varanasi) rather than any of the remaining three. Coming to the other three the preference would be like Ahmedabad, Dhanbad then Indore.
Cheers!
Hi Aspirant
All these options are great options.
Since you have no specific interest in any particular branch it comes down to picking up the right college.
There are a few things that must be kept in mind while choosing the college:
a) Alumni Network - The older the college the better Alumni Network youw have and that helps a lot. In that case IIT Roorkee will be the best option for you.
b) Location - You must keep in mind that location plays a very major role. In case you decide to go for higher studies you must see which city will give you better opportunities for coaching.
c) Ranking - Going by the NIRF Rankings, the order would be IIT Roorkee then IIT Guwahati then IIT BHU.
Hope this helps. All the Best.
