In 2020, the cut-off for ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING in IIT DELHI was 365 for Male and 1429 for female in OBC NCL . in the case of Electrical Engineering (Power and Automation),the cutoff was 588 for Male and 1810 for female in OBC NCL.

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the 23 IITs created to be Centres of Excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India.
Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared as an Institution of National Importance under the “Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963” and was renamed as “Indian Institute of Technology Delhi”. It was then accorded the status of a Deemed University with powers to decide its own academic policy, to conduct its own examinations, and to award its own degrees.IITD was ranked 2 for Engineering and 8 for MBA/ PGDM by NIRF in 2020. The institute offers more than 35 courses at UG, PG and PhD level. The institute is known to record an average placement rate of 90-95% every year for its flagship course, BTech. IIT Delhi believes in education to all, therefore it offers fee concessions and scholarships to both UG and PG students and research assistantships to PhD students.CSE department of the college had an average salary package of around 18 LPA-19 LPA. For other departments, the average salary package offered varies between 15 LPA-16 LPA. Top recruiters are MICROSOFT , QUALCOMM , UBER , FLIPKART , HCL, IBM , MASTERCARD etc .

Director V Ramgopal Rao of the Indian School of Technology (IIT) Delhi said on Friday that the institute would begin onboarding first-year students on November 29 and that their sessions may switch to an offline format by mid-December. So, by the middle of December, first-year sessions should be restored to normal offline mode.

If you are asking about just the branch then ECE is anytime better. But if we talk overall you should go for IIT Delhi. Because you other option is bits Hyderabad not bit pilani. IIT Delhi will give you a great exposure overall and even its production branch will give you a lot of opportunities.
In the last round of JOSAA there is no option of " Slide or Float". In last round the only option is to " Freeze". And If you don't select freeze then your allocated seat will be cancelled it will not be auto freeze.
