does iit delhi have a sectional cuttoff for its mba program

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 8th Jan, 2020

Ayush, IIT Delhi hasn't officially released its cut offs for the Academic session 2020-22. But going by their previous short listing criteria, the Shortlisting Index may be as follows: These are just the minimal percentiles required

Category

QA

VARC

DILR

Overall

General

60

60

60

95

OBC

50

50

50

85

There is no minimum CAT percentile for SC,ST,PWD.

Now Shortlisting Index is calculated using the formula:

SI = 80 x (Overall CAT score /Maximum CAT score of 2019) + weights for Bachelor Degree Marks + weights for Class 12 + weights for Class 10th Marks + weights for Additional Qualification Such as Master degree, Diploma + weights for Work Experience if any.

Based on your Graduation, 12th and 10th scores, additional points will be given and you can check them at the official page: http://dms.iitd.ac.in/html/MBA2018/Shortlisting%20Criteria%20for%20WAT%20&%20PI%20for%20MBA%20&%20MBA%20%28Telecom%29%202018-2020.pdf

Why iit delhi was gate cutof is high for civil engineering in 2012 2004 1998 33 marks

Harshita Gupta 3rd Jan, 2020
Hey,

There are various factors affecting the GATE cut-off score. Now, if we talk about the IITs, the cut-off depends on the number of applications they receive for admissions, the number of seats available and the category of the students applying. So, if the cut-off is high, it means that the competition is high. The number of applicants is high, and therefore they keep the cut-off high.

So, in 2012,2004 and 1998 (as you mentioned), the cut-off were high in civil engineering in IIT Delhi because maybe too many applications were filled for registration and the number of seats must have been less comparatively. Basically, cut-off is just a way of screening candidates based on score.

Hope this helps!

How to apply For IIT Delhi after Complete diploma ?

apuroop sri durgesh 13th Dec, 2019

Hi Chirag!

No, IIT's does not offer entry in 2nd year of b.tech through lateral entry. Just candidates who have finished twelfth standard or equal from a perceived board and the individuals who have qualified and score great stamps in JEE assessment can get confirmation in IIT. If you want to study in IIT then you have to take admission with 12th standard students into 1st year of B.Tech not as a lateral entry.

Hope this helps.

All the best!
